Only focus is to make money and the customer needs do not matter

By Elena B., Salt Lake City, UT, Verified Reviewer

My daughter wanted some items, and I ordered them, as they said that they had good deals if you become a VIP member. I ordered my first order on my cell and nowhere said that I will pay $49.95 a month, if I become a VIP member. I had the surprise to see that one month later my Amex was charged with $49.95.

They make the cancelation very painful as you have to call and a robot is answering, so make sure that you do not fall into this trap.

The instructions the customer service followed and how she was trained were pushing instead of listening when I asked for my VIP membership to be canceled.

When I ordered the first items on my cell, nowhere was saying that I am going to pay $49.95 per month. Still, she said that it is there.

The only thing that the script is focused on is to keep the customer, and she pushed for it while I repeatedly said that I want them to cancel it, while what the customer needs it doesn't matter.

I am not going to buy from this site anymore as the clothes are expensive, they trick you, and I can find better clothes and cheaper somewhere else.

Horrible company

By Melissa L., Lexington, KY, Verified Reviewer

I’d give zero stars if I could. I called two weeks ago to cancel my membership and was still charged the $50 membership credit for this month. Horrible. Stay away from Fabletics. Not worth the hassle.

Scam

By Audrey L., Arkansas, Verified Reviewer

I skipped the month on November 1st and on November 13th they STILL CHARGED ME. They made up excuses for why I was charged. This is a SCAM. I went to cancel my membership and they kept trying to convince me to stay. Biggest scam I have ever witnessed. Why am I still getting charged $50 when I skipped the month? They do not put money back in your account either. They make you spend the member credits. BEWARE.

Don't become a VIP member!

By Monica R., Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

They took my money even when I skipped the month, and then it turns out that those 50 USD are NEVER compatible with sales or promotions. That means that other people get to pay 15-20 USD per leggings, while you can buy only 1 legging with those 50 USD! They say on social media "send us a message, we're happy to help," but they never replied to me and many others. I checked myself for months and credits never were compatible with promotions, you get punished for paying their subscription! See their Instagram page, it's full of people wanting to cancel as soon as they can use their credits. Just don't, avoid yourself a headache.

Scam!

By Stephanie D., California, Verified Reviewer

I canceled their order and they still charged me! Are you kidding me? Then they tell me it will be credited back to my account between 5-7 business days, yet were so quick to take the money out of my account in the first place. Poor customer service.

Never again

By Cristel R., Plano, TX, Verified Reviewer

I received a sports bag for Christmas and wanted to exchange for another color. I am an avid Athleta customer and buy all my workout wear there. My sister-in-law loves Fabletics so I thought I would check it out. Not only could I not exchange my bag for another color, they didn’t have any other color, but I couldn’t exchange for anything. I needed some thong panties for under yoga pants. They only had M and XL. I could not figure out what size I would be. I was told I could not try them on (over my own panties, of course) and could not exchange or return if they didn’t work. The staff was uninterested and unconcerned about helping me at all. Worst customer service ever. I was going to buy the panties but ended up leaving the store, never to return. I buy a lot of workout clothes. I guess if you are a member you get treated better? A mystery to me. At Athleta, you can try it, workout in it, and if it doesn't work for you, they take it back. Great quality, so I rarely return, unless it’s an online purchase and doesn’t fit. At Soma, an underwear store, I have always tried on panties.

I guess Kate Hudson isn’t involved in the business plan of this company. Good businesses are built on customer service, this one is sorely lacking. The sales girls were ambivalent to me, could be temporary Christmas help. I even asked for a tape measure, they didn’t have one. Regardless, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

It was hard to even give one star.

A lot of hassle for so little payoff

By Hope H., Moscow, ID, Verified Reviewer

It's sad that this site isn't better. I wish so badly I could buy some of the items advertised on this site.

Firstly, they advertise these amazing deals all over Instagram and Facebook, but nowhere on those advertisements do they state that you have to opt into the VIP membership to get the deal. If you don't, the products you get are over $100 usually. I ordered a set weeks ago, and according to my FedEx account, it's still "in transit" and has been for ages! I'll be surprised if it gets here at all. I decided to cancel the membership based on shipping alone, and the rep (obviously not from the US) canceled it for me, but was short and unhelpful and tried to offer me $10 worth of credit (which would have amounted to??? I have no idea!) to keep the account. And this was the fourth time trying to contact them and the first time I had gotten a response.

Also, you can't email them despite the fact that it's the first mode of communication they offer. I emailed about the cancelation and got an automatic email stating that they don't check or use their email service anymore.

Honestly, I'm wondering if they will charge me for VIP despite my cancelation. If that's the case, I'm not messing with this nonsense and just calling my credit card company to block all charges. I can already tell it will just be too much trouble.

Rude

By K F., Michigan, Verified Reviewer

I was misled by an ad, not sure what Fabletics was and ended up with a membership when I only wanted a single item. When I found it and went to cancel, the chat representative was rude and demeaning.

Don’t waste your time

By Taylor B., Milwaukee, WI, Verified Reviewer

This is going to sound like a rant but here we go...I ordered my promo 2 for $24 leggings. Received the wrong order, someone else’s order, and never received mine. I was asked to go to post office and ship the wrong order back and call back in 24 hours, I was never informed of the free shipping label off the website, so I ended up paying $10 to ship it back.

I called back 24 hours later, got a different rep, had to re-explain the situation. When they were finally going to do a reshipment of the correct items, one of the leggings was out of stock. I asked for just a full refund, including return shipping. They were unable to give me a refund for return shipping and instead offered 20% off my next item, which means I have to spend more money to get my money "back," and did not reinstate the 2 for $24 promo. This was my first time ordering from Fabletics hence the promo 2 for $24, which I never received. And now, I’m unable to use that promo because I technically already ordered it? Even though I never received it.

Because this was the fault of Fabletics, I expected a simple, quick, and satisfactory resolution and it was not. I had to call three times and talk to a virtual agent about one issue. They never apologized or admitted things should have gone differently, instead turned it on me and kept saying "looks like your order was delivered" (it was but had wrong items in the package), "you returned your original order" (no I didn’t even receive my original order, I returned the wrong order that they sent to me), "sorry you were not aware of free returns" (no, I was not made aware by your agent when she asked me to return), and they asked for proof that I sent it back rather than just refunding.

They do not make it clear or notify you that you’re signing up for a VIP membership when you make a promotional purchase. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.

DON'T DO IT

By Katelin F., Montana, Verified Reviewer

Fabletics may seem like a too good to be true company. IT IS. I ordered the 2 for $24 and became the VIP member. I immediately wanted to cancel being VIP cause I didn't want to have to pay or skip each month and the process to do so is very difficult and annoying. To cancel you either have to talk to someone on the phone or you IM someone online. They try all these tactics to get you to stay and I had to say no about 5 times.

Fast forward a week and a half the leggings came shoved in my mailbox. I open my package containing 2 pairs of leggings and a bunch of ads for other companies. I go to try on the leggings and they were completely see-through. UGH - so I message a bot on the website and they start to process my return and send me my return label, I take it to the post office that day. Here I am 2 WEEKS later still without a refund, and Fabletics is saying my package has not arrived yet. SOS.

Will scam your money and no refund

By Amy L., United Kingdom, Verified Reviewer

When buying your first product from them, they automatically sign you up to a VIP member and then take out £44 from your bank. Doesn't say anything of this when checking out your basket. I only knew when I saw the money was missing from my bank. Called them up, they say "it says in the order email, stated in the T&C's." I never agreed for money to be taken out of my account but they will not refund. FUMING! Absolutely crappy customers service. They say they will give me 20% upon changing my account to a guest one, but the only way to use the 20% is to check out as a VIP (!!), which means I will have £44 taken out of my account again!
