HelloFresh makes dinner easy, without the hassle of making the grocery list and going to the store when I already have such a busy schedule. All the meals are packaged separately, which is a plus! It’s a great thing for my husband and I to do together. All the recipes have been delicious!

Before: my wife yearns that I cook. It's Sunday, 3 pm. Shall I scout and select recipes and calculate, list, and go shopping for ingredients? No, there are many more compelling Sunday activities to choose from!

After: Open the HelloFresh box that arrived on our doorstep. Take out three brown bags with ingredients for three great vegetarian dinners. After a busy day at work, there's something so relaxing about putting the Chill playlist on the speaker and preparing a tasty meal that my wife, daughter and I love, in 30-45 minutes. Ingredients are pre-sized, so the planning and procurement are eliminated! Directions are simple and visual. Satisfaction is enormous! We savor the meals and have much more fun eating together than the minimalist, survival meals we had before. Great concept. Well-executed.

I was skeptical when I first tried HelloFresh, but I was given a promo code, so thought why not? I haven’t looked back. Loads of veggies and very filling meals - I’m a big eater and sometimes don’t finish my meal (yay - leftovers!).

When I set up my account, I started to enter my address and it pre-populated with my current address. I hit the save button and moved on. I hit the send button and awaited anxiously for my first order to arrive. As the day went on, I started to become worried about the delivery, so I tracked the package. It was sent to an old address. I went into my account and saw my old address on the account. I immediately went in and changed it using the pre-population feature. I hit the save button. Guess what? My old address was still showing up. I did this three times.

On the fourth time, I manually entered my address, hit the save button and it worked. So, I called HelloFresh and explained what had happened. They said that the package had not been delivered so I could recall it. I told them that it had been delivered because I was aware of the cutoff time for deliveries. They told me to call UPS because they could not help me. I called UPS and, as expected, the package had been delivered.

I went back into my account and canceled my subscription. It was my fault for not double checking my address. It is, however, an obvious flaw in their system when an address does not save. They did not offer to work on a solution. I am out the money that I paid for the meals, and now I have to run to the store to buy dinner.

I've registered and ordered my first meal with the app in Germany, but it didn't mention anything about weekly delivery!

Now I'm getting a 43 EUR box which is actually worth 20 EUR and I don't need and won't use!

We have been using HelloFresh for approximately six months with great results. The food has always been fresh, delivered when they said it would be and the recipes are easy to follow. We have recommended HelloFresh to many family and friends. Most have schedules that don't work for this type of service, but for us, it is great. We highly recommend it and do so to as many people as we can.

I should have known better when they have you enter a credit card before you can see meal options. After seeing meal options I canceled immediately. Today I saw an email about a shipment on the way. I called their non-toll free customer service number where they said they would refund my credit card and the shipment was mine to use or give away. But the scary part was they said their system showed a PayPal charge. They couldn’t tell me which credit card was charged. Now I have to check all cards for a charge and watch whichever one for the refund as I know I didn’t use my PayPal account.

The emails I received from company showed:

1. Welcome.

2. Canceled subscription.

3. Action needed to correct payment information.

Those 3 emails were on the same day.

The 4th email 4 days later "your box is on the way."

Do not have any interaction with the company. Their systems are out of control.

I received a $60 gift card after the passing of my daughter. When I went to redeem it they refused, telling me all gift cards were suspended until after the Coronavirus. I chatted with them twice to explain my situation and how much my family needed these meals, and I was told there were no exceptions. Eventually they hung up on me twice. Horrible company with no compassion. Stay away.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months
