Horrid

I ran out of my expensive daily contact lenses and thought what the heck, it’s worth a try to save a little money. At this point, I would rather pay DOUBLE for better quality lenses.

They are so painful on your eye. Within the first three hours, they are filmy and dry. Upon putting them on in the morning, there’s always one that’s filmy and painful. I’ve thrown away more than I have used due to discomfort. They are so thin and flimsy that more than one pair is needed to get you through the day. I don’t know how the material used for these is legal. It has to be damaging to the eye...

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Canceled account

I canceled my account last year, October of 2017. They started charging my account again in January of 2018. I cannot get through to them to stop this. My bank called and a formal complaint was filed. I cannot get thru via email. I canceled last year via phone, but cannot get through via phone or email.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Uncomfortable contacts and website is horrible

I get headaches from wearing these all day. I also tried to log in to see my subscription but it says I have no orders, then there's a charge on my account?! I call to see what's going on and they say "check your subscription tab." Yes, I did, and nothing. Then he says "you will receive your subscription in 3-5 business days" and I tell them no, I want to cancel instead. ALSO, they said they sent a confirmation email for the cancellation and all I get is a "review your call" email. Not a good experience.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bad company!

It is a scam!

I saw the ad with the promotion of trying one box of their contact lenses for free. They ask for your credit card, to pay for delivery. I never got them.

After 10 months I am getting a message from Hubble that my card was declined. I did not get it, because I did not order anything. Getting in my profile I realize that they subscribed me (without my permission) to their contact lenses delivery, which I never received for the whole 10 months! But money was taken away because you cannot delete your credit card!

The phone that they put in the customer service support - NOT WORKING.

They do NOT ANSWER emails!

Now the only way to escape is to cancel my credit card!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Never refunded me for contacts returned and received

I signed up for a free trial of Hubble Contacts for my son in September. We received the contacts, and after trying them for a few days, my son concluded that they were not as comfortable as his previous brand, so we made the decision not to reorder. However, a couple of weeks later I received another box of contacts in the mail.

I held onto the box for a couple of weeks as I obviously needed to contact Hubble to find out why they resent me contacts when I never requested them. It was the crazy beginning of school time, and I delayed a little in contacting Hubble.

A couple of weeks later I received another box. At this point I immediately contacted Hubble. I was told that I was signed up for a monthly program (that I NEVER signed up for). After multiple emails I discovered that the only way to cancel was to call - another barrier in making this process simple for customers.

I then called and canceled and was told I could just return the unopened boxes to sender and would be refunded. I promptly did this in October. I then sent multiple emails trying to get an update on my refund, which never posted to my account.

It’s February, and I still don’t have the refund and have tried to contact Hubble by email, Facebook, and phone. During my last call I found out the contacts only arrived on the 18th of January and since this is more than 30 days from when I received them, my refund has been declined. I was being transferred to a supervisor and got cut off. No call back even though they asked for my number.

It’s not my problem that USPS took months to return the package, nor that Hubble chose to send me contacts I never requested. I just want my refund, but so far have just lost hours of my life and gained an enormous amount of frustration.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Uncomfortable after a few hours

I received my free box of contacts and tried out a pair a few days ago. The left contact seemed uncomfortable, and I had to take it out after only about 6 hours. I put my regular contacts in the day after that and left them in for my usual amount of time, 15 hours. They were comfortable all day.

I tried the Hubble Contacts again the next day, and although I was able to leave them in about 10 hours, they became very uncomfortable again, and they made my eyes feel very dry. I guess as an emergency pair they would be okay, as long as you didn't need them for more than 6 hours or so.

Needless to say, I was very disappointed and now have to wait until I can call Hubble to cancel (you can't cancel online).

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Customer service is horrible!

So I really like Hubble for the idea, and the contacts were fine. Not the best I've ever had, but they were cheap and did their job.

After I got Lasik, I tried to log in and cancel my subscription. Turns out you have to call them to cancel. I kept trying, but they were never open because the timezones were different. Finally, I bumped back my subscription to the latest date that I could, so that I could at least not worry about being charged.

So today, I was charged, and went to call them to cancel my subscription. When I called, their phone kept cutting out, and I could barely understand them. Finally, they went to cancel but said that it had been canceled earlier that day. Um...what? I informed them that the email associated with my account was no longer my email (because you can't change your email on the website), and asked if someone else could have canceled it. They said it was possible. What the heck? Why? They literally only use your name and email address to verify that it is your account. That is HORRIBLE security.

So I asked if they could delete my account so that no one could have access to it. No. So I ended up having to have them delete my card information from the website, and I went in myself to change my billing information.

I would not recommend using this website if you want to be able to have basic account security and also the ability to change any of your important information.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bad business practice

While the contact may work for some, for those they do not work for the companies customer service skill are lacking (kind of like charter). I request for my account to be canceled and it was not. Then later, like months later, I got charged again. It appears that my account was merely paused and not canceled. I needed to call for a refund and have it ACTUALLY canceled. Once, this happened they only refunded $25. They would not refund the entire $33 they debited unauthorized. They said that the amount was for shipping and restocking even though the account was supposed to have been canceled. Once I emailed to request that they refund the full amount I was told that they needed to research whether I actually called and canceled because my account was not canceled again after the second time canceling. Customer service is lacking.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Scam!

This place is such a joke! Scams people into free trials with survey participation and then once you hit submit, it pops up terms and conditions that say that you are automatically subscribed into a monthly commitment. When I reach out afterward, they told me the only way they could cancel it was if I called their 1-800 number. Ridiculous. Totally scam operation.

Insanely difficult to cancel subscription. Expect a run around that will take long enough for them to charge you for at least one more week of contact lenses. Feels pretty scam-like to me.

Horrible! Stay away!

These contacts were the WORST I have ever tried. The base curve must be completely off! Absolute TORTURE to wear them for the day.

The worst part?! The company told me they'd refund the first shipment box (they sent it two days after sending me the samples, so I had no chance to cancel before the paid shipment came). They didn't refund and I'm left trying to deal with submitting a chargeback to the credit card company.

Save yourself the trouble and order from 1-800 Contacts where at least they guarantee your satisfaction or they will actually help you return and refund the contacts. Or better yet, order them from your eye doctor and support a local business.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
