good product- horrible customer service

By Judy S Wojcik, Michigan, Verified Reviewer

My husband and I have been taking this product for over 4 years and really like it. It does stop our pain if we take it all the time. The problem is in trying to contact them. The hold time is long and they seem to try to keep you waiting as long as they can without helping. Our shipments always came before we needed them and would get 6 months worth sitting in the cupboard. We never knew for sure when the next shipment would arrive. They say they can put it on hold which they did except not knowing when the next shipment would arrive, we didn't always call in time. I was able to cancel (so they said) but then two days later I received another shipment costing almost $300 which will not be needed for at least two more months! Dealing with them is worse than our pains. There must be another product that works and maybe cheaper.

Product did absolutely zero for me.

By Marisabel Rodriguez, Orlando, FL, Verified Reviewer

After taking the product for two MONTHS, I know is not doing anything for me. The mild discomfort in my fingers is the same, no less and no more than when I started taken Omega XL two months ago. I've been taking six pills a day. This is eight weeks now, and zero, absolutely not a hint of results!

DO NOT waste your money. They give me a hard time when I try to cancel the order, and they charged me $96 for my shipment, and they are keeping the shipping and handling money.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Worst customer service

By Lila P., Sayreville, NJ, Verified Reviewer

I have tried to cancel their mailing orders and it is impossible to reach the Cancellation Department, after been on the phone for 50 minutes each time you get disconnected, or they give you the runaround. Very disappointed. They also increased the price twice in two months without notification.

Sending it back!

By Donna Thompson, California, Verified Reviewer

I have severe joint pain. My hands throb and wake me at night. Which is why I saw the infomercial. I've been taking Omega XL every day for three weeks and the pain is ten times worse. My hands literally "fall asleep" when I lay down now. The pain for the first hour after I wake is unbearable. My knees are hurting more, my neck and shoulders are hurting more so I can't recommend this product myself.

Don’t buy

By Maria S., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

My left knee suddenly was in so much pain that I had to walk with a cane. By chance, my daughter saw the advertisement and thought this Omega-XL would do miracles. I ordered and finished the two bottles. It did not reduce my pain one bit! My pain got worse and at the end, I had to see my doctor.

Can't turn them off!

By Rick M., Eden, NC, Verified Reviewer

I signed up and started receiving my pills. After 6 months or so I wanted to stop. I called them up and told them to stop shipping pills and quit debiting my credit card. All these people did was transfer me to another person and put me on hold until I got tired. That is their method. You never get to the person that can stop your order. Now I'm going to my credit card company and have them reject/cancel the automatic payment. For that reason, I would not do business with these ass hats.

Subdued selling pressure

By Alan Holm, Rodeo, CA, Verified Reviewer

My cardiologist recommended that I use it rather than the omega fish oils that I was using. It may be as good or better. I am not in a position to judge. My cardiologist is very good and helped me through 2 heart surgeries so I 100% trust him. My review is more about the selling tactics and follow-up tactics than the product since I am neither a doctor or a nutritionist so I can't do a good job to judge the product.

My cardiologist said the product "may" help some shoulder-neck pain. He wanted me to take it for the heart benefits.

I received the product quickly. It was over-documented. They send expensive printing and even a CD. For fatty oils?

I bought a package of 2 containers. Since my doctor "prescribed it," I certainly already was going to reorder when the time came. What bothered me A LOT was on arrival they announced to me that I had agreed to automatic shipments and future charges to my credit card. I did not (intentionally) agree to that. It must have been buried in fine print IF IT WAS THERE AT ALL.

I phoned irritated and spoke with Andy. It should have been a quick phone call, but Andy was working to make me feel comfy. We talked about the weather for at least 5 minutes, and he expressed how happy he was to have learned something. He explained that I wouldn't want to be without the benefits of the oils even for a few days by mistake, so it's best to approve automatic reorders. I still said no. He agreed. He was marking my account for no more automatic renewals.

Then as closing, he said that he closed the account and there would be no automatic shipments. Therefore he picked a date in April and said that they would ship more on that date and charge my credit card.

Huh? Isn't that just what I said I did not want?

Finally, he agreed to cancel all automatic renewals.

By the way, the pills are MUCH smaller than the omega oil pills I had been taking. That is quite good (supposing that there is as much benefit to them) since they are easier to swallow and take up less space in my pill container. I have too many pills, so space was a problem.

Summary: I assume the product is good. I am outraged by the ethics and attitude of the marketing. Therefore I give the product 5 stars and the marketing 1 stars = an average of 3 stars.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Shameful hard sell when trying to cancel for my mother who is at end of life

By Charlotte C., California, Verified Reviewer

I called to cancel a subscription for my mom who is dying, cannot swallow pills, and is hardly eating or drinking anything at all. The rep repeatedly tried to sell me on the product, tell me that the pills I was trying to cancel weren't for her, they were for my dad (I had already explained to him that my dad only ordered the pills for my mom). I told him I didn't want to hear sales, that I am trying to get my parents' affairs in order during a very difficult time, he told me he was just trying to tell me my options.

When he came back from putting me on hold, he told me he suspended the account for the next few months. I told him it was completely inappropriate to do this and to cancel the order as I had asked because my mother is at the end of her life. He continued to argue with me that they weren't for her, they were for my dad, that he was trying to help me by telling me my options.

When he came back from hold to say he had in fact canceled the order, I told him I wanted to speak to the manager. Previously he had said ok, and at that point, he said there was no manager there. He gave me a line about how he put all that I said into notes and that the company would know what my complaint was. It is absolutely outrageous and shameful their relentless efforts to keep you hooked in, and reps are not trained to deal with sensitive situations anywhere close to appropriately.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Still haven’t received my refund

By Gwendolyn E., Brooklyn, NY, Verified Reviewer

Great HealthWorks withdrew money from my account without my authorization. When I checked my bank statement online, I noticed money was taken out so I called and asked for my money back. I was told that I would have to wait 10-15 business days for my refund because of their policy. I waited and my 15 days ended last Friday, April 26, 2019 and still no money in my account. I told the customer service representative that if I do not receive my money by the end of today that I will file a complaint and open an investigation with my bank. Each customer service representative I talk to gives me the same run around to wait it takes time to show up on my account but with my bank, it always shows up automatically even though the money is pending. I would not recommend anyone to deal with this company because they are quick to take your money out from your account and are slow to give you your money back. I am currently still waiting for my money! If you can stay avoid dealing with this company!

Bad for heartbeat

By Ross Y., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Please whoever has an irregular heartbeat or AF, please do not take it. I was suffering for 3 days after I took only 2 pills, I almost wanted to call an ambulance. I don't know about the benefits, but be alert.
