Scentbird review

I enjoy the different perfumes that they have to offer. It's nice to get a sample before you decide to buy a large portion. I hope they continue to incorporate more scents from different designers. The only downfall is the shipping is very slow. My email will say you should get your order around this day, and sometimes it is a week or better before I get it.

I love wearing different fragrances

Positive

My experience with this company has been a positive one thus far. My only negative experience was when I tried to contact a live person because I wanted to see if I could change the date that these guys withdraw the money from my account, and I was never able to speak to anyone. I appreciate experiencing fragrances prior to me buying them because I'm able to save money rather than pay full cost for a scent only to realize after having opened it, that it doesn't work well with my body chemistry.

Broadened my scentses

Since joining Scentbird, I have been able to enjoy different scents of perfumes that I might not have bought on my own. Some I have liked, and others I haven't liked so much. But, with Scentbird, I didn't have to commit to a whole bottle of those I didn't like, and I could just give them away to someone else. Overall, it's been an enjoyable experience.

Excellent service with plenty of room for improvement

Overall I'm quite happy and excited about utilizing this service; it's exciting to receive and try new fragrances each month. One huge area of improvement though has to be shipping practices as it is very inconsistent currently. Adding more niche fragrances or carrying full lines of others (Carner Barcelona, Archiste, Etat Libre, etc.) would also continue to build the excitement to try more and more!

Positives and negatives

I love the idea of Scentbird and have been pretty happy with my choices.

I decided to do Scentbird so that I could try perfumes that I had never heard of or worn before. The descriptions are important to me in order for me to make a choice for something I think I will like. The descriptions, for the most part, have been pretty spot on and I have received a lot of perfumes that I was happy with, however, I do feel that the descriptors could use a little more work, especially the test deal that you take that helps formulate the perfumes you may like.

The only negative is the website; it's not user-friendly and a bit confusing. Other than that, I have been extremely happy with this concept and continue to tell my friends about it. I also plan to continue another year or so because I just love trying out so many unique and eclectic perfumes!

My experience

For the most part, I have been happy with my experience with Scentbird. I am disappointed that some of my favorite scents are no longer available through Scentbird. I do not like that you cannot order the same scent consecutively.

It would be nice if you offered scents from the classic perfume houses such as Chanel, Land in. Dior, etc.

What my likes and dislikes are

I love that I can try out high-end fragrances before I purchase the bigger bottle. What I would love to change is when I receive my products. For example, they send me the date when I should receive the fragrance and then it doesn’t show up for another week or so.

They could add more high-end cologne such as Creed or Chanel. The bottles could be a little bigger. Maybe they could offer two cologne a month, send out a few free samples, possible offer shirts with the cologne; nothing crazy, just a t-shirt. I love Scentbird knowing I get something once a month, but I go through it in two weeks. I love the easy carry case.

Customer service is the only downfall

I love the products, and have been subscribed for a year now and never had any problems, until my December order. I usually receive my order on time third week of the month no problem, but in December, I did not. Trying to get in touch with someone (via email, which is the only way) was taxing, to say the least. After explaining the issue to them, they said they would look into it.

I finally got a shipping notification on January 2nd (Yay!), so I sent a reply back to thank them and let them know I received shipping info and to make sure that my actual January order (which I’ve already been charged for, so she better be on time) wouldn’t be affected by this hiccup. Well, it’s January 10th and there is no response. Also, I still haven’t received my December order.

Great way to sample

I love the updated option to receive three fragrances a month. It allows me to try out more fragrances faster and I love having more than one new option a month. The size is large enough for me to try the scent a few times and see how it mixes with my body chemistry before I decide to buy or not buy a larger size. The small size with a case is also a great way to introduce designer fragrances to a teen as a gift to carry in her purse.

Overall I really enjoy Scentbird, but if I could change anything, I would have a 5-month option. Right now I will not get through my entire queue until 2020. With all the new fragrances coming out, more options a month would be worth it.

Too bad I cannot order the same fragrance two or more months in a row

I really do love the service of trying new fragrances or ordering a favorite scent. But recently I tried to order the same perfume two months in a row and was told I had to wait another six months to reorder the same scent from the prior month. I am guessing this is a new policy because I have done this before and was very happy to be able to do that. Is there a reason for the change?

Mixed positive

I’ve been a member for about four months. I had one perfume that was strong for me, but I gave it to my adult daughter. I am not a brand loyal person necessarily, so being able to switch it up is fun. The most frustrating part for is anticipation (cue the song). I really look forward to that mail. I invested in extra cases in different colors.

My December order was quite delayed by weather and the holiday. I hoped to get it beforehand.

Great service and selection

Great way to discover new colognes I’ve always wanted to try. Sometimes the unknown is best, and the reviews by the staff are on point! The suggestions they offer on how the cologne scent is great. Once you get 2-3 orders, you can switch up the ones you want depending on your mood or outing/season.

A monthly pick-me-up

I'm the type that rarely buys designer items unless it's a screaming good deal or I've been able to test the product and simply believe it in it. Scentbird has allowed me to elevate my perfume game with minimal input on my part. Each month's delivery is a little pick-me-up, and after several months I am still tickled when I know I'm walking home to my mailbox to the little black pouch. My account is easy to navigate, easy to tailor to myself, and easy to submit feedback. I feel like my options are endless so far. I've recommended it to many friends.

The leakers

Love the concept and the scents

The sweet scent of victory

I love smelling good and enjoy the few perfumes I know and like, but was so pleased to get new scent each month and expand my fragrance collection. The scents they recommended were pretty spot on and they last way longer than you think. I always still have some when I get my next fragrance. Plus, I work at a gas station and enjoy getting compliments on my scent and letting people know where I got it and how affordable it is.

Scentbird

I recently started the Scentbird program a few months back and love the concept. The fragrances and option to chose which fragrance you would like next has been awesome. I find that one sample does not last until the next shipment, and if it does, it's very close. I am not a multiple spray kind of guy either. One or two sprays and that is it. I would like a little bit larger of a sample possibly to get through the full month sample cycle.

I thoroughly enjoy Scentbird. It gives you a way of trying scents before you actually purchase them, which for me is great as I am picky about what I like. They also suggest scents based on what you like already. Just amazing, and you get a free scent when your friends sign up. Win-win.

My only complaint is you can't order the same scent twice, and they have very few choices if you want to buy the scent. Other than that, a great system.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
