Pros and cons

By Amy Davis, Asheville, NC, Verified Reviewer

First the pros: the price is great, the website is easy to navigate, and the contacts are delivered quickly!

The flip-side: I don’t feel like my vision with these contacts is QUITE as crisp and clear as it is with my O2 Optix lenses. It’s a difference I notice primarily in glare producing situations, like seeing halos around headlights or streetlights, that type of thing. It’s not enough to keep me from reordering, just something to be aware of. I also notice that my eyes seem more dry by the end of the day with the Hubble Contacts than they do when I wear my other contacts.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very convenient

By Johanna, New York, Verified Reviewer

I love not having to think about contacts; they come in the mail every month and are a comparable quality to the ones I usually use. I had never used dailies before; they are pretty convenient. And the packaging is also very cute.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love this company

This is an amazing company. I love it! I would totally recommend the company to friends and family. I heard about them from my sister and I'm glad I joined their company. Absolutely excellent customer service and fastest delivery I have ever received from a company.

Good product with some glitches.

By Dawn Jordan, Columbia, SC, Verified Reviewer

Hubble Contacts arrive quickly. I like that I get a fresh pair every day. I like that I do not have to remember to reorder them each month. I like the price well enough.

What I do not like is the quality. At least two contacts from each order will have a flaw. Sometimes they are very difficult to discern whether they are inside out or not. I have been wearing contacts for 34 years, so I know how to tell the difference between inside out and right side out. I think the problem is that these contacts are so thin that only after putting them in one’s eye does it become apparent.

Just the other day as I was driving, my eye was bothering me rather considerably. I ended up having to pull over. I then looked at my eye in the mirror only to find that half of the contact was missing! I never really wear the contacts and always use a fresh pair and usually not for more than five hours a day.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Worst customer service and product damaged my eyes

By Tiffany Evans, Clearwater, FL, Verified Reviewer

What they don’t tell you is that they don’t take into account your entire prescription, so the fit and any compensation for astigmatism are ignored without you knowing it.

After my vision started to become more and more blurry, I went to my eye doctor who told me to stop the use of Hubble Contacts immediately. Not only do they not breathe like modern contacts, but they fail to inform you of the failings of their outdated product.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, when I went to cancel I was told I had to call a 1-800 number between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. I had been told when I signed up that I could cancel online easily, however, they changed that policy during my subscription without notice.

I called and canceled (or so I thought), then was billed the very next day. When I called back, they said they hadn’t canceled, it but would now, but my shipment was already processed, and I would have to wait for it to arrive, then pay to ship it back and wait for a refund. I literally saw the charge and called (granted it took me two phone calls because the fort rep’s phone connection was so bad) within 20 minutes, yet miraculously, my order that I canceled the day before had been shipped and already left with USPS.

When I asked for a manager, I was told all managers were in a very important meeting and could they have my phone number to contact me later? You mean the phone number in the profile of information you already have?

Save yourself the eye pain and the headache of these idiots and get real contacts.

Impossible to cancel subscription

By Hannah, New York, NY, Verified Reviewer

It is impossible to cancel your subscription or delete your card info from the website. You have to call a number to cancel, which I did last February (and by the way, you don't talk to a person right away; you call them, and then they call you back later, every time). They told me it was canceled. Now I have randomly been charged for a month's supply with no warning. I just happened to see it on my bank statement. However, since I am living outside of the United States now, I emailed them instead of calling.

They said they couldn't do anything for me since I didn't call them. They're the only U.S. company to have given me any trouble since moving abroad. I called my bank and had the unauthorized charge reversed.

They apparently want to be viewed as a legit company, but they operate like a scam.

Not pleased

By Helen H Mayo, New York, Verified Reviewer

I received my free trial, postponed all future orders, received the next full order, and was billed anyway, Hubble now refuses to accept this order back and issue a credit. The lenses do not accommodate my eyes and it does not give me clear vision. I was not given the time to experience their free trial. Not all contacts are the same, and these contacts may not be correct for your eyes. I also experienced dry containers upon using the free trial. All this has been a huge annoyance and buyers should be aware.

The best I ever used

By Corrine Nicole Moyer, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

I love these lenses. They make life easier and more comfortable! After years of wearing contacts, Hubble made such a huge difference. Never blurry or dry, I barely use solution at all. And they are delivered!

Not satisfied, to say the least

By Erica L Klinedinst, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

This company wants to blame me for doing what they asked of me.

I did the trial back in August. I didn't see a price or quality difference in my normal brand! To my surprise, they sent me another box. I was under the impression that I was only giving my payment info to pay for the $3 shipping! WRONG. I got sidetracked and forgot to send the box back. Low and behold, a few weeks later I got another box and another charge!

I emailed them since their phone number is nowhere to be found. They sent me an email, and I spoke with Christine about canceling and about the returns. It was explained that unfortunately, the refunds take time because they are done when there is an accumulation of refunds (odd), so I waited.

While I am waiting for a $66 refund, I get yet another charge for $33. I called today and spoke with Jennifer. She told me that it wasn't their issue but that they have not yet received either package and that I needed to contact USPS. I called. Forty-five minutes on hold. I finally ended up going to the local post office and was advised that there would not be a scan on that tracking number on the return trip because if it had been scanned, the system would send it back to me. Makes sense!

I call Hubble back. I forget who I spoke to this time. He said we could escalate my phone call. I wanted management. He promised an hour window. I called back. Darian advised that someone would call. I waited.

Ellen called me back and blamed me for every flaw in her policy! I told her I did as instructed by putting RTS on the packages and she claims there would have been a notification and a refund if the packages came back. I told her that wasn't my fault. I did as I was instructed and I had a scan from the USPS that told me so! Return initiated! Finally, she is caving, (or so I think) and says she got a refund validated. She would give me $50. But there was a restocking fee and a shipping fee. I'm not paying for anything! I need a $99 refund.

Affordable contacts!

By Marisa Santiago, Brooklyn, NY, Verified Reviewer

I've been using Hubble Contacts for several months now, and I've been so pleased with the service! I don't wear contacts every day, so their flexible subscription program allows me to skip months whenever I need to, which is such a money saver. I used to buy my contacts in 12 and later on 6-month supplies. As I realized I wasn't wearing my contacts as much, I got frustrated that I was wasting all this money on contacts I wasn't using and would eventually have to toss because my prescription changed. With Hubble, I don't worry about my wallet, and when I'm running low, I just switch back on my subscription!

I won't say Hubble is flawless; there have been times where I've put in a contact and it feels funny in my eye, and I've had to throw it out and replace it with another one. But at this price point and with Hubble being such a new company, I'm willing to go through an extra contact here and there to find the right fit for the day.

I took a big leap trying out Hubble, but I've been so pleased! I really do recommend them to everyone who uses daily contacts!

Pleasantly surprised

By Melissa, Kansas City, MO, Verified Reviewer

I read a bunch of reviews before ordering Hubble Contacts, and I was quite scared after reading some of the 1-star reviews. I have been wearing contacts since middle school, so I'm pretty well-accustomed to my focus dailies, but I figured since the first box is free, what do I have to lose?

Some of the reviews are accurate when they say they are a bit thicker and are blurrier than the contacts you might be used to.

It's kind of odd because they aren't constantly blurry, it just seems like I can't see as well out of them all day long. Not really sure what's causing it. They are kind of dry, but my eyes are always dry, so I didn't feel like they were much worse in that respect.

In the end, I decided to keep my focus dailies, and I wore Hubble Contacts on days where I wasn't planning on having my contacts in for a long period of time (like a lazy Sunday).

They really weren't bad at all, and if you're not particular, I would say go for it.

The only other thing is the casing is that the small plastic containers they come in are SO small. I had to use my pinkies to get the contacts out. If you have long nails, forget it!
