Deceiving website when purchasing

I have been ordering Vital Reds for a family member. On the last order, I decided to try it and accept the offer for three jars at a lower price.

When I received my order confirmation, I found that I had been charged for a total of four jars. I contacted their customer service who indicated that the web page said: "in addition." I do not recall seeing this. I read you could order three instead of one at a lower rate. The customer service then told me that I should read the information better (insulting) and furthermore they did not even offer to amend the order. Also, I had ordered the offer for the Primal Greens which was supposed to be with no shipping charges, but the receipt had shipping added.

I will never be purchasing again! Deceiving and sorry customer service. I would also like to add that on my very first order, I wanted it shipped to my alternate address, but the website did not offer at that time. When I called the "customer service" they told me they could not ship to an alternate address and that I should change my billing address on my credit card. Oddly, when I ordered the second time, they suddenly had a place to enter an alternative shipping address.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Rip off

I ordered one time and was shocked to see how small the jar was for 44 plus dollars! Then they charged me again for another jar, and I only asked for one. Be careful of this rip off! Is this man a licensed Cardiologist? Shameful. I will place a warning to other online.

Big time rip off

I just received the three Vital Reds. I couldn't believe their tiny size. Being from Canada, I also paid the Canadian/US exchange, higher shipping, plus $32 in customs. In other words, I paid a small fortune for so little product.

Also, Dr. Gundry talks about the benefits of polyphenols (blah, blah), but the product consists of more vegetables than berries. Beware, this is a rip-off.

Never received 90-day money back guarantee

It says they stand behind their product but I have never received a refund. I bought the product and three days later found out I had health issues that would not allow me to take the product. I paid $10 to return, and now I am out over $150. Buyers beware.

Whole foods are the way to go

Too much product and refund issues

First, there are 2 major issues:

1) Ordering the product - I initially ordered 1 unit, but during the process to check out, the website said I could save money by ordering 3, so I ordered 3 units. When I received my order, they sent 4 UNITS (I'm not happy about that since I expected 3).

2) I contacted customer service about what happened and arranged to return the 3 units. I returned the 3 units on 10/07/17 with a packing slip that came with the product. On 10/14/17 I logged into my credit card account and saw Grundy only gave me a credit of $49.95 (it should have been $115.42).

I called customer service to inquire and according to Cheryl in customer service, the warehouse said they only received 1 unit. I immediately opened a dispute with my credit card company and supplied all the details about the situation, including the tracking number of the package.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Doesn't do anything!

I purchased this product, took it as it stated and did everything it said to do. NOTHING CHANGED! I got none of the results. Don't buy this and don't get tripped up by someone scamming you for money to line their pocket with no return for you.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware!

I checked out their product and thought it may be good to try out.

I placed an order and purchased a 3-month supply, but before I had even used the first month, an auto-ship arrived with another 3-month supply. I now had a 6-month supply and had not finished the first month.

I called the company and asked them to stop shipping as I now had 6-month supply and had just finished the first can so needed time to evaluate. What the lady failed to tell me was that they had just shipped another auto-ship (before my call to them but still way too soon). I called the credit card company, and they told me I would have to accept this third shipment but after this no more.

So I now have a 9-month supply shipped to me and am not even 1/2 through the second month's can. This is utterly ridiculous.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great product, horrible service

I started Vital Reds in February 2017, and opted for the VIP deal, with automatic delivery. It is now October, and I have had two six-month shipments sent to me that shouldn't have been sent. Of course, my bank account was automatically billed, and money that I needed to have in place was removed. And of course, I have to allow several days for them to return my money, which they should never have taken in the first place.

DO NOT allow automatic delivery of this product!

While I would recommend the VIP option as the best price, make sure you take yourself off of automatic shipping as soon as possible. Most of the complaints I've read about this company are shipping/billing issues. It's unfortunate because I love the product itself. It made a HUGE difference in my health. But I am extremely displeased with their service. I was within a hairsbreadth of bounced checks and service fees with my bank because of the incompetency of the shipping/billing department of this company.

While I would recommend the product, I would also issue a HUGE warning about shipping/billing.

Weight gain

I am starting my third week on Vital Reds. I feel no different and have gained 5 and 1/2 pounds. I have the three-month supply so should I continue this or not at this rate? When I finish I will have gained approximately 33 pounds.

Canadians beware of hidden costs

I just received Vital Reds via Canada Post, shipped from GundryMD.com by the USPS. I have only used Vital Reds one day so far, so this is not a review of the product, but rather of the purchasing and shipping to Canada process. Canadians beware of hidden costs!

I paid $9.95 US for "Standard International Shipping" with a promise of delivery within 5-9 business days. There was no other shipping method offered (why not?). I discovered the Tracking Number issued does not work once the package crosses into Canada - they failed to mention that detail. When the package did not arrive after 12 business days, I contacted a "Customer Wellness Agent" and was informed shipping to Canada actually takes 14-21 business days, so please wait longer! I finally received the package 17 business days (24 calendar days) from shipping date. Canada Post charged me C.O.D. charges (which resulted from charges by Canada Border Services Agency of 13% HST tax plus $9.95 "handling fee").

I am very disappointed with the GundryMD.com ordering and shipping process. After negotiating through persistent, annoying, and aggressive marketing strategies that would embarrass a "snake oil" salesperson, I placed an order, expecting "free shipping" like the front order page says, only to discover there are additional costs for shipping to Canada. My experience with other USA businesses such as Amy Myers, MD, Amazon, eBay, etc. has been far superior and GundryMD.com would benefit by emulating them.

Canadian, be aware of the final cost of ordering product from GundryMD.com. In addition to the exchange rate "penalty" due to our lower dollar, add shipping, HST tax, plus Canada Border Services Agency "handling charges," and your cost will be very high. If you pay $69.95 US per jar of Vital Reds, it equals to approximately $107 Canadian for a 4 oz. jar, which equals to $26.75 Canadian per ounce, so this stuff is truly "gold" and is extremely expensive per oz even if purchased at 1/2 price. I sure hope it works miracles for that price!

Note that the "snake oil" part is the very aggressive marketing. For example, different customers pay different prices at different times, and prices always keep changing, even as you are placing an order (I received a "Black Friday discounted" price of $35 US per jar). This marketing strategy must be working for them, but it sure detracts from their legitimacy (and makes me feel like the site is risky to leave a credit card number with for payment).
