Second, the staff is extremely kind and supportive. They gave me a personal email with a free t-shirt as I've worked with them for a while now.

Third, they have amazing therapists/counselors. I've been seeing my counselor for almost a month now, and she is the kindest and most understanding person ever. I had in person therapists/counselors and I was unable to open up to them the way I opened up to my counselor on BetterHelp.

Fourth, they have an amazing platform that's extremely easy to use and works great on your phone too.

Lastly, I suggest you try it; you don't have much to lose. What you pay for a month is what you'll pay a therapist/counselor for 2-3 sessions, versus unlimited sessions on BetterHelp.

I was a little unsure at first. I have visited therapists face to face but never in a format such as this. By communicating via the internet, it was a surprisingly good experience for me. Convenient and available 24/7. There is also the benefit of revisiting conversations; a record of your conversations with your therapist is always available for you to read anytime. This was another bonus for me. My counselor Ted was excellent to work with. Compassionate, intelligent, and a great communicator.

After struggling alone through a rough patch, I decided to try BetterHelp.com. What a wonderful concept! I was matched with a counselor that I clicked with right away and received the support I desperately needed at the time. One of the many great features I enjoyed is that the level of communication between my counselor and was as needed. You pay a monthly membership fee, and can "talk" to your counselor as frequently as you need on your own time.

At first, I would have long frequent chats and emails, and now I send shorter updates with successes and have a weekly phone call. I found this to be a luxury since I work full time and have young children. There is no way I could have afforded to see a counselor in person the same way I was able to with better help.com. I also briefly tried their sister site ReGain.us for couples counseling.

I have recommended it to friends and family and would encourage anyone to try it. You can always change therapists or cancel your membership with no questions asked. And with or without insurance, you cannot beat their membership price. My only regret is that I didn't sign up sooner.

This app I was honestly skeptical of because I didn’t have any idea of what would come of it. I signed up, however, and got my counselor based on my needs. She is amazing and helps me through some tough times. I do at times like to talk to someone verbally rather than through typing so I can also FaceTime her when I need to. I just enjoy having almost like a pocket counselor to carry with me, LOL! So wherever I am, I can message her of any incident, and she is very understanding and nonjudgmental. I have tried online therapy in the past, TalkSpace, and didn't feel like it was very effective. I love that my therapist responds to me so often, and I feel like she is genuinely interested in helping me. I love that you can schedule live chats as much as you want. She is an incredibly experienced and professional therapist, who could help me understand a lot of issues, was very supportive, energizing and motivating and gave me practical methods to change my behavior the way I wanted it.

I live in a small, rural community, miles away from the nearest counselor. Although I have started seeing a professional counselor, it is rare to get an appointment in an emergency. I had a crisis situation occur and, in desperation, decided to check the internet to see if there was such a thing as urgent care for a mental crisis. To my great relief, there is.
