Copper Chef Pans

By Delsie Knicely, Frankford, WV, Verified Reviewer

I am very unhappy with the copper pot I received. I called up to see what they line this pot with. I was told aluminum. I do not want to cook with aluminum. They would not tell me where they were made at. Also, when I order those pots, I was told that they would pay for the shipment if I wasn't satisfied. Now, I am told that I would have to pay for my own shipment to send them back. He tried to give me a 20.00 back if I would keep them. I don't want to keep such junk. I just want my money back. They just give you 60 day warranty that starts on the day you order the pot. Also, the person I talked with was very rude.

Sticks to pan

By Paula, Atlanta, GA, Verified Reviewer

I will stick to buying from the store. The pan started off great but then things started sticking to the pan. It burned and turned black and could not be washed out as well. This is too much money for the poor quality craftsmanship because it chips, sticks and burns. I've had it for less than two months and only used it for two weeks. I'm still waiting for the RMA refund request to be emailed to me so that I ship it back in order to get my money back. I haven't heard from them but they sent me a bill! I can't use it and I want my money back as they guaranteed to me initially. I'm still waiting.

Purchase problem

By Jean Davis, Merced, CA, Verified Reviewer

The Ad seems great, but as you proceed further, it leads your purchase to give your credit card info and have already paid for the product before the UPGRADES. You find out later that there is an upgrade for induction. It's confusing and so by calling the operator, they don't know anything and their job is only to take orders and can't tell you the difference with the upgraded deluxe type.

Copper chef is trying to get your money without telling all the facts before it's too late.

After a few uses, it's hard to clean

By Roy Ronald Sabater, La Palma, CA, Verified Reviewer

After using the pan for two months, the stains won't come off even with cleaning pads. I'm very disappointed. It seems like there's a coating that came off after a few uses.

A well-designed scam, but a scam nonetheless.

By Laura Leyrer, Chesterfield, MI, Verified Reviewer

1. There is NO difference in the "regular" and "deluxe" model pan. I called the customer service center and they admitted this when I asked for a refund.

2. I was told I could return the pans, but I would give up my shipping charge. When I told them that they could not keep my shipping charges because the merchandise had been misrepresented I was told to refuse my shipments and that "the whole thing" would be refunded. (We'll see).

This is a typical scam and I shouldn't have fallen for it. My fault. BUT we are lead to believe we are receiving a quality pan and it is NOT and that we are getting our money's worth, which we are not.

Their call center reps and supervisors are very difficult to understand. If you have any problems, email them at www.copperchef.com NOT www.copperchef360.com, which is the address that shows when they send an email to you.

Oh, and the order numbers for the "regular" and "deluxe" models are exactly the same. Interesting if the pans were actually different. How would they know which one I'm talking about if I had to return it?

If I don't receive a response to the email I sent (confirming my return and expectations of reimbursement), I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. If I do not receive my refund, I'll be pursuing it through small claims court.

Left a Bitter Taste in my Mouth - So Upsetting

By Beverly, Herndon, Virginia, Verified Reviewer

It is still in the box sitting at my front door - getting returned to sender.

I saw this cookware on television and was excited about getting it for all the reasons mentioned. I called and that was when things went sour. Gave them all my financial information and was hoping to complete order and get a confirmation number. No, ten minutes later, other special deals were being offered and every time my response was the same - NO! But it continued. I hung up without getting a confirmation number and called customer service to cancel my order. The person told me I had to wait for 24 hours. I did and called back. He said he had no record of my order. Yet, my card was charged. I talked with a supervisor and he promised he would cancel my order. But it was sent. I am sending it back.

To this company I say, forget my name, number and email. I will NEVER order from you again. Taking my business back to QVC and HSN, the companies I can trust.

Poor service, they don't believe in communication.

By James Rulison, Rochester, NY, Verified Reviewer

I placed an order and did receive a confirmation. I waited 9 days and never heard a word. I tried to chat but no one even answered. I then called and was told it would be 3-4 weeks before it would ship because it is on back order. The foreign agent that I could barely understand (although polite) said he could not give a ship date. I asked him to cancel which was no problem, I think. He said they would not send out an order cancelation notice and the only way to verify that it has been canceled is to call back. Eric Theiss has his endorsement all over it, which is one of the reasons why I bought it. I won't be buying anything with his name on it again, here or on QVC. Hard to believe in this day of easy communication that they can't even let you know it is back ordered or that you have canceled the order. There are too many good companies to work with and that care about customers -- this apparently is not one of them.

Good for one month only

By Paul Wong, Brooklyn, NY, Verified Reviewer

I got this Copper Chef Pan a month ago. I am disappointed as there a imperfection like minor scratches and little dab here and there. Wish the quality control is better. Other than that, I initially loved it as my food doesn't stick but after into my third week, food started to stick and became difficult to remove. As a result, stains started to appear. The worst is the bottom copper edges. There are some small peeling and scratch marks around its edges. There are also fire burn marks. The steel base holds well though. They should make the bottom scratch proof since frying food will cause a lot of friction at the base.

The good thing that it heats up quickly and very light. Apart from that, I wish the non stick feature lasted longer.

For almost $80 a piece, I have better options out there.

Never got them

By DL, Florida, Verified Reviewer

It's impossible to review pans that you have ordered twice, but never received.

First time I ordered on April 24. On May 5, I finally contacted CS to find out why I had yet to receive the email informing me that my order had shipped, only to find out that they canceled my order on Aprirl 25, and just never bothered to inform me. When I asked the reason why they canceled it, their answer was "it looked like their was a possible duplicate order." So I'm thinking ok, benefit of the doubt, it was a safety precaution. Fine.

CS told me to go back online and reorder and she gave me a promo code that gave me 25% off as an apology for the inconvenience. Great! I had ordered the 12 pc. set and the code made it a really good deal. I was happy to reorder.

Today, May 14, I once again contacted them to find out why I hadn't gotten that follow up email again, and was once again told that my order had been canceled the same day. When I asked why this time, the answer was "hmmm, we don't show any reason other than that upon account review, your order was cancelled."

Me: That's ridiculous, my credit is excellent.

CS: Sorry for the inconvenience (deja vu) but I can place the order for you again now and give you a great discount.

Me: What discount is that?

CS: I will give you the 12 pc. set you wanted, normally $149, for only $140.

Me: (laughing) No you won't! I'm looking at the confirmation email right in front from the LAST time I reordered, that shows I paid $112 for that 12 pc. set, and I'm not giving you a penny more.

CS: Wait ma'am, let me finish, I'm not done. Once you receive your products, I will give you another $30 back.

Me: Nope, sounds fishy to me. Since it's like pulling teeth to get you to send me the pans, I can only imagine how hard it would be to get you to send me my $30! You need to honor the last offer of $112.

CS: I'm sorry ma'am, I'm not authorized to do that.

Me: Then give me to someone who is.

CS: No one will be authorized to do that ma'am.

Me: Then I guess you don't really want to sell your product. You can keep them. Good bye.

End of story.
