UNHAPPY!

Before using your product my computer, I must say it was easy to install, so an "A" for that. The downside is my computer is even slower than before. I shall return it in the morning for a full refund.

Bad

It took down my internet for five hours. I could not stream video, play Xbox, and anything. It did not speed up anything. I lost my security and video. Why did it use over 95% of my internet for five hours? That was more than the time it would have taken to download my whole hard drive two times.

Not happy, I did not see any warnings. I am sick about losing all that time, had plans, but could not do anything, as you stole my internet.

Not satisfied

I put the FixMeStick in the PC and it did its thing and then told me I had a lot of malware on my PC. Why didn't it clean that out of my PC when it was doing everything else? I am sending it back as I don't think it did what it was supposed to do. Thank you.

Not impressed

I followed all directions and was notified scan and virus removal was complete. But I still have many problems with all sorts of "stuff" getting in the way, especially during boot up, which takes up to 20 minutes! Also, after the scan, I no longer have access to programs such as MS Access and others.

Needless to say, I'm returning the item.

Not worth the money

I ordered the Stick from HSN. I ran FixMeStick when it arrived. The run took almost 1.5 hours on a high-speed gaming computer that contained no gaming software files. It came back with two minor errors. I then ran Malwarebytes free version and it found one major problem that FixMeStick missed and it took less than 10 minutes to find it. For this reason, I am returning my FixMeStick to HSN for a refund. After 1.5 hours it did not detect a major problem that a free software found in less than 10 minutes. This is not all it is stated to be.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not worth it!

It worked okay on my Windows 8 system, but on my XP System, I cannot start the computer. It took around 6 hours to clean the Windows 8 computer, but on the XP, after a few seconds, the screen went black with a flashing line in the upper left corner.

If you're getting a flasher in the top left corner, you will likely be required to start the FixMeStick using Failsafe 2. Bloody useless piece of crap.

I got a virus and needed a bios bootable remover and theirs seemed to be the best available but at cost.

I've spent 9, over 9 hours of my life with this bloody stick.

The first stick, this one failed at 2 hours because these guys didn't design the bloody thing right. It cannot scan Gaijin's War Thunder game files, it locks up. So I paid someone to go back to Walmart for a replacement and wooooooooooo, this one also locked up at War Thunder 2 hours in, what the heck. I had to boot up my infected PC and cut out my war thunder game files to get the bloody stick to work.

I went to bed knackered, left the stick running and get up at 3 am to check and wooooooooooooo, the PC showed all clean.

I booted the PC and the stupid stick had removed nothing at all.

Their customer support by phone is zero and online, well, obviously you can't get online with a buggered PC.

FixMeStick fixed nothing, found nothing, cleared nothing.

Issues - Gaijin War Thunder game files kill the stick.

Virus in my PC as follows - Yandex, sticky notes, search awesome, yes this yes takes 48% system resources.

The stick was utterly useless.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Disappointed

I did not think I had a virus, but I did expect to see something about malware and stopping/dropping off the net and stopping pop-ups. It said everything was OK. Maybe I got the wrong FixMeStick. So far, I would NOT recommend purchasing a FixMeStick.

Boot disk

I am very disappointed in my FixMeStick. I followed the directions on the packaging and the first time I used it the boot device is stripped from my hard drive leaving my laptop inoperable and needing an operating system. The customer service person was very nice, but after many tries, she was unable to resolve the issue.

Disappointed

I have heard such great reviews. I am really disappointed. It worked great, did everything it was supposed to do. It found three viruses and one Trojan, it said clean. I clicked and waited and did not remove the items there. I ran FixMeStick two more times, same results - the same items came up each time and cannot remove. What a disappointment.

Worthless!

After 13 minutes and 30 seconds, total PC lock-up. I had to shut off the PSU in order to get it back working. Worthless item! Avoid at all costs! I was expecting it to work, a quick plug and run and solve my problems. I've tried running anti-virus, no luck, and three different malware software, only one did anything. It found 36 problems but the adverts still persist every few minutes.

FixMeStick not as promised

I just received my FixMeStick and used on my laptop. After six hours it said it removed a few malware and viruses.

The claim from FixMestick was my machine would be faster after first use and to use monthly to maintain. I personally do not see any difference in the speed of my laptop, and in fact may be a little slower now after the scan.

Live and learn I guess. I may be sending this back, although I really don’t want to lose the shipping expense.

I would never recommend this to anyone else as I do not believe the claims. I will chalk it up to be a sales tool and nothing more.

DOESN'T WORK

I ran this on two computers. It found problems on both of them but couldn't remove them. I just spent $60 for nothing. I know you won't do anything about this, but I just wanted to warn people not to buy this junk program.

Lost.exe.Thought it was virus.

I used the FixMeStick for the first time since I bought it. Something happened after my son used my computer. I went to download an update on my embroidery program and all I got was an error stating, "FTCU.exe may have been moved or deleted." I thought at the time it must be a virus. Unfortunately it must have been something else. There was no change in my computer. Maybe Adware or Malware? Never did find the problem. The FixMeStick was unable to find a problem. I couldn't recommend one way or the other as it may not have been the appropriate thing to do.

I am still bothered by persistent malware which I had hoped would be taken care of by this product.

A disaster!

I bought this for my Dell Inspiron laptop to fix a suspected virus. It made my laptop unusable. Could not access windows. Used the solutions on the FixMeStick website over and over again to no avail. This is going back to Amazon. My laptop is now garbage. It would cost me $200 to assess the problem. I can buy a new laptop for $300. Thank you FixMeStick!

FixMeStick is ok

I ran FixMeStick on one machine and it worked fine. When I ran it on the second one it could not find a virus and it left me with a white screen. Not telling me what to do next. I thought my system was lost. Playing with it I was able to get it back. You need more instructions. I'm not sure it's worth the money.

It does not work

I plug the FixMeStick in my Windows 10 computer and after 8 hours it did not complete the scan. I am very unhappy with the FixMeStick. I bought it at HSM2 FOR $64.00, IT DOESN'T WORK! I would like a REFUND.

I have downloaded the Factory Update, I have run FixMeStick three times and it still freezes on the scan program. So I feel I have wasted over £50 for something that just does not work. I should add this is not a fake review.

Not worth my time or money

I tried both FixMeSticks purchased and cannot get either to finish a scan. The program locks up my computer and the only way I can get my computer to work is to reboot it. I ran it overnight and it froze after scanning about 1100 files.

Not happy with FixMeStick service

My FixMeStick was not working, I emailed tech support, was on the computer for over 3 hours troubleshooting the problem with no success. I asked with all the trouble trying to get my FixMeStick reloaded and into your system so that I can use it, why not send me a replacement and I will return my defective one. It was like I asked to get into Fort Knox, we can't do that, and on and on. Anyway, they said that they would find out why I was having a problem and would call me at 1300 hours on Saturday afternoon. Well, here it is, Monday afternoon, and I have not heard from FixMeStick.

After the FixMeStick scan, my computer is functioning worse than it did prior to the scan. I returned FixMeStick to the retailer where I purchased it. SCAM! Advertising is false. Support consist of a compilation of trouble.

Successful and not successful

Arrival time was fairly good. Purchased two - one for use on Microsoft and one for Mac. Seems both came with both so this really was not stressed and I wasted money where it was not required. Works very well on Microsoft but will not start on the Mac. Very disappointed. And feel somewhat taken by the marketing dept - I would have thought that Amazon would have checked some of their sales to be as advertised.

This is a scanning program with a time limit and I don't know if I would recommend. Bit of a bad taste at this point. Order -446 not working for Mac.

Waste of money

I ordered this product after seeing it in hopes that I could use it to enhance the protection of my computers, both PC and Mac. After numerous attempts to get the device to properly download the necessary applications, it is unable to complete the process on any of my systems. Additionally, the online help center is utterly useless. This was a complete waste of money. Doesn’t deserve even the 1 star given.

It did NOTHING for my computer. NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL. I followed the instructions to the letter. My computer is still SLOW! Just how many more dissatisfied things do you want me to say?

Do not buy this product!

User beware

Yesterday, I got the icon button but did not link. I reviewed the files in Windows Explorer that showed User Guides, various languages. I tried this again today and there was a new folder, APPLICATION. Clicked on this and was able to start and do the scan.

You need to get your act together and provide better information for the user. All very well communicating after the scan, but SUPPORT to get started was pathetic.

Not a happy user so far.
