I was hoping to really like this product and finally be done of monthly or annual renewals for virus subscriptions software. In all fairness it did scan my much older OS laptop; but not the main reason I purchased it. Currently; I upgraded to an iMac for performance and figured this would be ideal, however, each scan only yielded 67 files in 0 seconds, even under custom scan mode.

I contacted customer support and they were very friendly and resolved the issue. However, the end result did not help me in the least and I just wish they would have included that this device will not scan fusion drives when they are selling them, as I would have never bought one. Other than that, for other OS without fusion drives it should work fine.

None, and I mean NONE of the instructions were correct, nor did they work on my ASUS. I wound up having to go into the BIOS and change the method of booting, but I wound up changing so many factors that I had to take notes so I can reset after I got the thing to actually run.

And when it finished the scan, it was SUPPOSED to "clean" my computer. It neither did nor did it offer to do so. Instructions clearly indicate that it will.

Keep your money, take your system into a reputable computer tech.

I purchased FixMeStick, attached to that purchase was McAfee. The install did not take because I have a Windows XP desktop PC. I'm a little confused here. If FixMeStick will help speed up and protect my PC, why another purchase for anti-protection, etc?

My time has been taken in a totally different direction than promised!

It does not do anything significant for my Apple Air. I have an infestation and all they do is direct me to manually remove the threats...what’s the deal?

If their product is supposed to work, what's wrong, am I doing something wrong, are they not supporting Apple?

First of all, I did not know it was a subscription! Very confusing to get it to run correctly. And, lastly, I believe it is advertised incorrectly. I thought it was to "fix" whatever was wrong with your PC; it does not. It is nothing more than a program that looks for viruses.

I returned it today.

So far I have used the FixMeStick on my desktop PC, but it is still slow so I plan on doing another cleaning over the weekend. Now I have tried to use the FixMeStick on my laptop but it did not work. When I plugged it in and double clicked to run, it will not run. Why can't it work on laptops?

From what I can understand, it doesn't fix my computer, it tells me that I have threats, which I knew from WinZip. So to me, it's not worth it if I have to purchase something else to FIX my computer.

I have had nothing but bad results with FixMeStick. At first, it didn't work at all, and it was fixed VIA their website. The last time I used it screwed everything on my computer and I had to restore a backup, thank goodness I had a backup. At this point, I do NOT trust their soft/hardware, so I won't use it. Please note that I want to CANCEL my subscription to FixMeStick. DO NOT bill me for anything!

I ran this on a new PC with one issue I wanted fixed. I had to write the help desk to resolve it in Windows. It took 18 hours to run and not the 20 minutes I expected. It did fix registry errors, but Windows comes with as much as 50% registry errors and will work just fine. I also ran it on a slow running Panasonic Toughbook and it took 5 days with a 500 gig drive in it. In the end, it found a ton of errors, but five days later when I tried to click on "fix problems," it was frozen. I can't say if this product will work for you. This is only the two times I used it.

An electric bull ride starts out slow and easy and gives the rider a bit of false confidence. As the ride continues the bull goes its own way and, soon after, the rider is "kicked off the bull."

When I first purchased the FixMeStick, my computer was beginning to age and, for the first year, it worked like a charm, so I decided to continue my service on for a second year. Well, like that bull ride, my computer would not let me use the FixMeStick anymore - it would just shut off and I could not get the FixMeStick to work. I called in for help once and I the "engineer" worked with me for quite a while with no solution.

So recently; I noticed that my second year of service(?) was about to expire and I decided I would try again to see if someone could help me get the stick to work - figuring by now they may have work through the issue I was having. After a moderate amount of time, it was decided by FixMeStick that my computer is the problem and that it is over 10 years old.

Admittedly I was a bit perplexed because I "know" the stick had worked in the past, so, why not now? The skeptical side of me thought this determination was an easy out - I cannot tell you how many times I have been told that an electronic device I owned is out of date.

My computer shuts off from time to time, but I thought it was upgrading and I just didn't have a desired time set for updates in my computer. And to this day it does the computer work that I desire it to do.

So this is not what I expected - thus the 2-star rating. However, I will say that when my computer cooperated, the FixMeStick worked like a charm!

I've been waiting for two days for support to answer a simple question. Simple question really. I want to use this for my business and would like to give the report to my customer. The PDF that gets generated on the USB looks clunky, they said there was a better way to view the report, but they have not told me where.

I found the FixMeStick inconvenient in that the stick is hard to keep track of. When you have a virus scanner in your computer you can run it as often as you want. Also, after using the FixMeStick my WiFi was gone. After contacting the company about it, they were great and took care of it right away. But I didn’t like that they can remotely use my laptop and make changes. I didn’t like that. This never should have happened in the first place. I ended up canceling my subscription and will be purchasing a different virus scanner.

It was very simple to use and it took all day to run and I still have viruses. I'm going to run it again in the morning. Maybe it takes a few times. If it did take a few times I would be very pleased with it and would recommend it to everyone I know, but right now not so impressed.

I bought your stick and ran a scan. It found only 2 things, which I think was what came with the computer. One being a Coupon printer and something else with my name on it. The problem I have, I know I have some malware that did not show up. Two or 3 times have had screen flashing red with bells going off and WARNINGS and telling me to call a phone number to fix. OR COMPUTER WILL NO LONGER WORK. When that happens the computer is frozen until you unplug and reboot. Recently 2 emails telling me they installed malware on my system and demanding a $2000 ransom. I still have emails if you want to see. I have the computer freeze up saying some kind of script running. Computer slowing up. Emails not coming thru properly and the list goes on. Your stick found none of this. How is this possible it found nothing? Would certainly like to discuss with FixMeStick before posting.

I am still having issues even after using the FixMeStick. Also, I signed up for a 30-day free trial but by the time I received it in the mail, 10 of my 30 days were gone already. I am fairly sure it did do something but it did not fix all the problems, i.e. redirects to unwanted sites.

I ran the stick. It told me I had infections in my computer, so I let it do its thing. After it was done I haven't noticed any changes in my computer. So I guess the serious infections it said I had weren't so serious.

I'm afraid I must give the FixMeStick a poor review. I have been on the phone with multiple techs three times and we were unsuccessful in starting a scan. All the techs were knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful but still, we failed. I am convinced my next step will be tossing my two sticks in the trash and exploring another avenue to clean my PC laptop.

I was led to believe you just plug it in and it does everything itself. Well, in my experience, it didn’t. I had to do too many things manually. Also, it didn’t find anything, which I suppose is good. I was running it on a 2013 Mac Pro. Three years old. Overall not satisfied with the experience.

Check with me in 6 months, I'll let ya know then. But thank you all for checking! That's more than most companies do! Nobody seems to want to make themselves available to their customers. One thumb up so far! Smiley face. One thing that is needed is 24-hour support. Then maybe if it works very well, two thumbs up. You will see I can't give a recommendation now, I don't know if it works, only time will tell! You might want to consider adding a third choice at your bottom line question (for those who just received the stick), it will remove the problem of checking the "No, I would not recommend box." But I can't tell others it works because I don't know it works yet - sorry.

The support was fine but I'm not satisfied with the FixMeStick's use with a 2019 MacBook Pro...it won't work. You can find out about this with my call. I feel I did not get my money's worth. If you're a PC user it works fine.

Used this on an old four years plus desktop (running a bit slow at times!), made no difference to the machine, nor did it find anything during the scan. I would have expected to have found something on PC this old which is used every day. This appears to just be yet another bit of hyped-up software! With the usual ads to sell you other software.

It turns out I had no viruses, therefore what I needed was a one-click optimization program, and the let down for me is the optimation program they offered to sell to me also clears viruses.

After almost three days, I am still trying to use the Chrome browser with little or no success (I sometimes can access one website between reboots, sometimes not). The free trial of McAfee LiveSafe is not going well. Makes my i7 seem like an 8088 (4.77mhz) when trying to access features, which don't always work. Might get back going, but may not cure all issues.

I used the stick a couple of times until I was able to get it to work. And yes, it did remove a virus, A VIRUS. I haven't called them yet but will when I got the time. Meanwhile, I still have the same problem. I was told I have many malware viruses, but the stick told me of one and successfully removed it. When I call them, and hopefully they be able to HELP, I will revise the review!

I successfully ran the stick and it said I had issues and that it fixed them but I can't see any difference in the way my computer is running.

I didn't really see anything in the report that alarmed me about the things that were wrong but figured it would likely at least speed things up to have them removed.

The TV ads and HSN miss lead me thinking the FixMeStick would speed up my PC. I have two virus protection products I run so the FixMeStick did find anything or speed up my PC. My family has three Dell laptops that run slowly, especially when booting or installing any application. For example, installing TurboTax takes 30. When I check the resources, the hard drive is running at 100 percent. I have tried many suggestions I found on the internet. Will your other product fix this problem?

I have recommended FixMeStick to a few friends who PC was completely locked. I have not heard if it helped.
