Tasting boxes for my guests

I love the whole Flaviar experience. I especially like the tasting boxes which are a real hit for my guests in the office. When I have visitors for a late business meeting in a more relaxed atmosphere, I offer the one small glass contained in the tasting boxes. I always have a gin box, whiskey box, and cognac box! They go faster than I can reorder them!

Great libations that are difficult to find locally

I love going onto the Flaviar site. It has everything from great bottles of alcohol from all over the world, to mini-classes about various types of alcohol, to the ease of ordering, to the great reviews by other users.

Jameson Caskmate

Not worth the money, bad customer service

I was not pleased with this company. The items I received were not based on the profile I submitted. Taste sample items were not clearly labeled, making it hard to tell what you were about to drink. First two tastings of three in my sample were of liquors I absolutely detest drinking. Prices are higher than my local store. Plus when I contacted them to request a refund after receiving the above tasting box was told no refund would be granted. No prorated refunds are allowed as they only have a 3-day grace period. Really hard to determine if you like a service when you get nothing in the first three days. I would not recommend this to anyone!

We send out the Welcome Box without your input to help you guys ease into the club, to prevent feeling overwhelmed by the novelty of the club’s various aspects, but you are able to pick all tasting boxes after the initial one.

Prices can vary dramatically by region, product, distributor, demand, old stock, and time of year. Nevertheless, we work with retailers across the country and do our best to source great products at the best possible prices

Totally disappointed

If anyone is considering signing up for a subscription with Flaviar, be warned. I purchased a 6-month subscription for $120 on 6/13, for Loren for Father’s Day, and his “welcome box” didn’t arrive for 21 days on 7/3. And one of the bottles had leaked in transport.

I asked for a refund, and their policy is you can only cancel your membership within the first 3 days!? How would I even have known by that point we would have a reason to want to cancel? We have been terribly disappointed since the beginning. I would advise against doing business with them. And all he was going to get as best we can tell is two of these “tasting boxes” in his 6-month membership to the tune of $120. Do you know how much liquor I can buy with $120?! They’re all “fluff” and very little substance. How about pay less for marketing materials and more money towards actually delivering a product and some customer service?

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Disappointed

After much research, I excitedly purchased a membership for my husband and from all the reviews, the offer, and the price I thought this would be awesome! I received all the "welcome to the family" information along with the info card with its secret code and password, just to have my husband attempt to claim his membership/gift and not be able to. After inquiry, I was just now today told this is not offered in Texas. Poor quality control, poor attention to detail that this was not caught in process and/or PRIOR TO Christmas, and that money was taken knowing they could not provide the product. Leaves a sour taste.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Terrible customer service

On December 11th I placed an order with Flaviar including an Aberlour 12 years old, and a Ginaissance tasting kit. The email said I would get both items between 3-7 working days to get to my apartment. Eight days after not having received anything I emailed Flaviar to inquire about my packages, and they replied 4 days after saying "The label was created but it seems not to have moved from our vendor's warehouse. I'll investigate and get back to you as soon as I know. I'll do my best to get these shipped out immediately!"

After 15 days of waiting, my bottle finally arrived, only to find out that I was missing my Ginaissance from the order. I again email Flaviar to try and figure out why I had not gotten my Ginaissance and they replied "The Ginaissance was supposed to ship from another vendor but seems it didn't ship at all. And that probably the vendor has issues shipping to my state." "Uros," my concierge, said that if I was willing to wait because of the lack of ETA, and I replied just please send the package. Once "Uros," my concierge, read the email he apologized for the second time about waiting and said "The Ginaissance shipped today. Tracking will be provided within a few days."

Since I got that email I have not received the package, or the tracking number...It has been 18 days since I got that last email. What kind of inconsiderate lack of customer service is this? If I am going to give my money to a company I expect to have some sort of professional and attentive customer service. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone trying to have a good experience and good customer service. Definitely the worst I have ever been treated in any e-commerce subscription. This company has made me feel like I have been forgotten.

Don’t waste your money. If you sign up, you will have exactly three days to cancel if you don’t like it. Three days is not enough to decide, and they do NOT offer any refunds thereafter. Total SCAM!

After three days, we offer partial refunds for up to a month which we believe is very generous and gives members ample time to become fully familiarized with the club and all its various facets.

Scam artists

This company is a typical scam. Ordered my membership on June 6th and still has not received my 1st quarterly order. In response to my multiple emails, I am only getting "We are sorry, will check with our vendors."

Be very careful not to sign-up with them!

No shipping

I can't get customer service to help me. I live in a state (North Carolina) that is apparently impossible to send liquor, but Flaviar doesn't warn you before they take your membership. In 6 months I haven't received a single order, but they have taken my money. They like to "respond" on Twitter, Facebook, etc. to publicly tell me they will help me, but I cannot get a response directly.

Horrible service

I received this as a gift from my wife. I was very excited. I went online right after I received the gift on my birthday in February. I was supposed to be sent the initial tasting box when I signed up. A few days later I ordered 2 bottles of bourbon. I waited for 6 weeks and had still not received my tasting box nor the bottles I received. I contacted the company about both orders and received the bottles I ordered but not my tasting box in about a week. The bottles were received on 4/9/19 and ordered on 2/17/19. The tasting box was ordered on 2/16/19 and a FedEx shipping label (FedEx number 478231884556) was created on 2/27/2019 and I have still not received this as of 6/25/2019. I am not surprisingly unsatisfied and would strongly discourage anyone from using this service.

Allow us to provide some insight. Shipping alcohol is an extremely complex process. By now, we are well versed at handling unexpected delivery issues and fluctuations in state laws so there is no disruption in the quality of our service. Right around the time you joined, though, we’ve experienced several such issues at the same time, which has made resolving them efficiently a lot trickier. This, in turn, caused shipping delays, longer transit times, and issues with order tracking.
