Horrible

This is the worse product and customer service that I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this to my worse enemy. The product was returned and they acknowledge it, but they keep taking my money.

Luminess Air is a sneaky company

Luminess Air did not work for me. It may work for other people but not me. So I immediately let them know that I did not want the automatic payments taken out of my account. They said OK to that but conveniently did not tell me that I still had to pay for the make-up wand, which was approximately $129.00. So when I saw the first payment installment had come out of my account about a month after I told them that I did not want the product, I immediately called my bank and told them that fraud had been committed on my account and that I wanted my debit card canceled. My bank did what I requested. After going back and forth with Luminess Air for about 3 months, I finally sent the wand as well as the rest of the product back to them. I sent it certified/return receipt.

After about a week or so I called them to make sure they got the product back and when will I get my first installment refund. Luminess proceeded to tell me that they never received the product and did I have a tracking number. I gave them the tracking number and then they changed their tune and said they did receive the product back. They wanted my debit card information so that they could issue the refund and I told them no. I told them to mail me a check. They said that's not their policy.

So I proceeded to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Affairs in Texas, which is where their corporate office is. Just last Thursday, I got my refund in my bank account. Luminess must have told my bank to put the payment in my account because Luminess did not have my debit card information. This is four months after I originally purchased the product. This was a nightmare, and I will never do business with this company again and for anybody out there, just be careful when dealing with this company.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

BUYER BEWARE

This is not at all what I thought, and the infomercial isn’t clear on what you are paying money for. They wanted you to pay $39.99 for the trial, which I thought was all of it, and then to keep the actual machine, they want to charge you $264 or something ridiculous to keep the machine. That was news to me! Anyway, if I liked it, I would’ve kept it, but it made my face look like it was wet and their color matching was terrible. Their return policy is VERY STRICT so just know everything before purchasing since this is more of a headache to even try it.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Read small print!

I received the item on 7/21/2019. After attempting to use the product I immediately realized it did not work as advertised. There was no coverage and the makeup came out in visible droplets. On 7/22/2019 I contacted Luminess and explained I did not want to continue a subscription plan. I did not want this item. I received an email stating the membership was canceled. I did not realize I had agreed to an installment plan. It must have been in very small print. Three weeks later $48.65 is charged to my account. I called Luminess customer service, the person I spoke to was super angry. I explained that I called and canceled, was not interested in owning this product. He said I canceled a beauty membership not the installment payment plan. I said I don't want this, it doesn't work, I don't want to pay an unknown amount. After much arguing, he said he would send me instructions on how to mail the item back. Most online purchases provide information on how to return trial items when first mailed, they did not, nor did they pay for the return of the item. I was responsible for all shipping costs of return. I mailed it back. The next installment payment I was charged again, a slightly different amount, so I did not notice when it came through. I called bank to dispute charges.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Don't buy Luminess

I was duped into buying this product thinking that it cost the advertised price in the infomercial. This item will cost you over $350. It's ridiculous. They should make this information clearer and should be sued for unethical business practice.

Difficulty returning

I called and spoke to a lady after noticing a charge on my statement. She said it was for the membership fee and I explained I did not want to inquire any further fees from them, and what I need to do?

After a very lengthy phone call of back and forth with her trying to explain that the machine only worked with their make-up and me trying to explain it didn't matter to me, I didn't want any of it because my daughter didn't like it. I stated I would file a complaint with the FTC due to her not wanting to comply with my request, but that didn't seem to bother her at all.

Finally, she said she would cancel and stop any further fees. Today I called and spoke to a gentleman and he said I could not return anything because it is past 30 days and when I spoke to the previous rep on 1/25, she canceled my membership only. Horrible customer service, and it was difficult to understand both of the reps.

Worst company, don't waste your money. Shipping takes forever to leave the warehouse.

Don't touch

My mom bought this for me as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. Yes, it does cover very well, but after applying you cannot touch your face at all for the rest of the day or it removes the makeup from the spot you touched. No scratching, blowing your nose....nothing! Unless you carry the system around with you and have time to reapply every time you touch your face. So good luck. If you never, ever touch your face then this may be for you. If you do, then I wouldn't touch it!

Terrible product

It never performed as stated. Kept getting clogged. I called for assistance, didn’t really get any help. I felt ripped off in so many ways. It was never explained properly about continued payments and automatic product shipping, which continue to add a continuous balance until I finally canceled the whole thing. I had to pay for the machine to keep my credit intact, but was very angry. Buyer beware.

WARNING, don't risk it!

If you do try this, get a disposable prepaid debit card because if they get your real bank card or credit card information they will charge you as many times they can and you will not get it back. I've begged them to stop and to find the worker who clearly stole everything I sent back because that person scanned in 1 makeup item and not the other 10 items so now they won't stop charging me. This company is literally setting people up to get ripped off knowingly or they have a thief stealing returns. Don't trust it, I'm dead serious.

I got the system and the man said they do not charge you for 2 weeks but your 2 weeks don't start until you find a match. Well, that's a serious lie. Also, they have scandalous workers. I returned the system with absolutely everything they sent me, and they still won't stop taking money and have taken over $400 and had it back February 21st, 2019. Every time I called they said they can't prove they got it back without a tracking number but never told me to get one, but every time I call they claimed they never got it. Then a manager told me she found it in the system on April 1st and said she would check to make sure everything was there and call me back and never did, so I've called like 20 times since and now everyone saying it's not there. But the last manager slipped up and said on February 29th 1 bottle of makeup was scanned in and I told her all 11 bottles and the system and everything was all in the same box, and I sent them a pic and video to prove it but they claim that's all they got - 1 bottle of makeup. So whatever workers get the return they had to have stolen everything else. And I told the manager that someone better review their camera feed because I sent everything back, but yet everyone kept saying nothing came back at all. Then one manager found it, then it was magically not found again, then another manager says we got 1 makeup scanned in on February 28th and she was supposed to look into it and call back and never did. So I emailed everything I had proving everything was in that same package, that they better check the camera feed because someone stole the rest and I'm not going to sit back and be ripped off and robbed.

For two months I called every day to talk to a manager after the first manager said she found my package in the system on April 1st and every time I called for a manager after that day every day all managers were in meetings all day. Then I emailed and told them I'm about to file theft charges and sue for damages and our stress, and heck, I've been put through over them stealing the only money I had for my kids.

This system does not do what they advertise either, if you have deep smile lines it won't fill it in or cover. And if you have deep creases around your nose it won't cover or fill in and makes you look old. Also, it's like wearing chalk, and if you mess up you have to wash it all off and start over. It's junk and that's god's honest truth.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Liars and scam artist

I would give 0 stars if I could. One of their clients lied and sent me an airbrush through her gift account and somehow signed me up and they have been taking money from my finances account ever since, even after I canceled everything. I also have proof of all of this and was told to send it back on MY expense after I canceled and filed a complaint. The system does not even work as they say it does. It's a complete scam if you ask me. Nor are they any help, clearly their employee is not the only con artist there. This is not a fake review, like I said I have proof of this nonsense from the client and the company. I truly hope that they do what is right and correct the many wrongs made.

Taking advantage of!

The system is good, but don't even think about canceling! So I ordered my system, all is good, two months later I received two bottles of makeup. Not knowing why I called them and they told me I joined the monthly makeup club. Funny that was not in my order, so I kept it and said I wanted to cancel future orders. So the lady said why don't I just put your orders on hold for four months and you can decide if you want to keep getting the product. So no biggie, I will just call and cancel them. So in February of this year I received makeup and had forgotten to cancel, I called them up said I want to cancel. No problem, she says, so she said just send the unopened package back and call back with the routing number and we will refund your money. Great.

So this month on March 11 my bank account was overdrawn because they decided to charge me AGAIN! For what. I called yet again, the CSR told me she would refund my money this time and I could just keep the makeup I haven't sent back yet. What? I want all of it back, $80.00 is a lot of money for their mistakes. She had some reason this had happened, anyway, I'm still trying to get it all back. Just be sure to not let them manipulate you into there scam. I've spent over $500.00 with them and this is how l was treated...
