Very disappointed

By Pamela A., North Carolina, Verified Reviewer

I like the idea, but my experience has been absolutely horrible! I tried closing my account March of 2018, and as of today, I'm still getting charges to my credit card. I have corresponded with their support several times and was promised that this issue was resolved. However, it wasn't, and I've had to not only change my credit card number but submit disputes of these unauthorized charges since March of this year.

As big as this company is, you would think they would have a customer support number where you can actually speak to a live person rather than having to go through email correspondence for issues or concerns.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pure crap!

By Denise L., Houston, TX, Verified Reviewer

I hate this company! I was accused last month of keeping a pair of paints not returning upon further investigation they suddenly found them! Wow, so because of there carelessness I almost got charged $34.00 for something I didn't have. Now I have been charged $175.00 for a whole box I never received, sent 3 emails, been told I would be contacted back in 48-72 hours and no contact back! This is a scam company that likes to take your money for products that you don't get! Careful!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Terrible company with poor customer service.

By Nick F., Columbus, OH, Verified Reviewer

Horrible experience and a complete waste of my time. I dislike every aspect of this company. Very badly overpriced for what you get. Didn't feel like they even remotely tried to match the style I put on the order. Return policy is a pain. Customer service was not helpful at all. Do not use this company for any reason!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

CC breach!

By Leigh A., Austin, TX, Verified Reviewer

My credit card was hacked because of them. Lots of unauthorized charges suddenly appeared. The clothes fell apart after a couple of wears despite following the wash instructions. Stylists never listen. Waste of money and time.

Just go to TJ Maxx or Ross

By Alma W., Chicago, IL, Verified Reviewer

Don't get hooked, it's not that easy to cancel. There's no number to call for problems with delivery or merchandise. The quality of the clothes is so-so. You would do better going to Marshall's after work if you need to get something for your morning meeting. And the prices would be better there, too.

Length of Use: 3–6 months

Avoid this company at all costs!

By Heidi B., Milwaukee, WI, Verified Reviewer

I liked the idea of a personal stylist, but as I found out, it is hardly a personal stylist. A computer program suggests items to "your stylist". The stylists complain online that they don't have the time to provide such a service and inventories are so low they can't provide customers what they want.

Really disappointing. Feel misled by their advertising of a personal stylist. Service does not deliver what they promise. They show all these clothes online and stylists say very little of it is available for them to choose.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

No “pros” were specified in this review

Stylists are not truly picking items for you as they advertise

$20 styling fee must be used on an item they send even if you hate the items they send

Poor customer service - no telephone number to call

Don't go here! Waste of time and money.

By Nikki B., Boise, ID, Verified Reviewer

First, they don't give you any direction as to how this all works. Then, after you place an order (even though they have not given you instructions) they give you NO help if you picked the wrong tab. Then, they can't find your order. Then, they can't give you a refund. They don't read your notes as to style preference. This is after I spent $800. And, I'm still trying to get reimbursed. My first order was almost a month ago and I am still arguing with them if I got credit for everything I sent back.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

Customer service is attempted

Staff tries with minimal knowledge

Time, energy, confusion

Lack of co-hesion

Ability to actually resolve, not placate

Stylists don't read notes of style preference

How do I cancel?

By Donja , Portland, OR

I stuck with Stitch Fix for well over a year. I would say I kept half the stuff, however, I think I regret keeping half the stuff I kept.

Last month I thought I was successful in canceling my account. Well, I just received another shipment. I've been sending Stitch Fix emails requesting to cancel my account and have only received an email stating that my email has been received but not confirmation that its been canceled.

I'm starting to get very upset. Any tips on how to permanently cancel my account?

Exciting, but expensive for low quality

By Andrea, Los Angeles, California, Verified Reviewer

I've tried a few fixes, but they never seem to get the size right. Everything tends to be boxy (probably with the goal of fitting the most people). I recently created a Pinterest board just for Stitch Fix reference, and waited with eager anticipation. It is exciting receiving a box, but that's always where the excitement ends.

For my most recent fix, with an updated profile, Pinterest board, and detailed message, the five items could have been for anybody, and were so bad that I gave up my $20 and returned EVERYTHING! Nothing matched my height, which I've mentioned countless times to them (36" inseam). The price was WAY too high for the low quality of most of the items, and even if I "discounted" items with the $20 I already spent, I wouldn't buy them for the $20-off price. That is BAD.

I received stretchy pink yoga pants (way too short on me), that were $98. Who pays $98 for yoga pants? A white, completely see-through peplum top, a cheap-looking pink necklace that was $38 (I wouldn't have paid $5 for it in the store), a pretty green dress that was again too short and low quality (I would have paid $20 for it, not $70), and a boxy cardigan that hung on me, with no shape whatsoever. I love cool colors, and nearly everything on my Pinterest board is navy, yet I was given all this pink and white stuff, none of which fits, all of which is WAY overpriced. Very disappointed.

Cheap quality and not worth the money

By Lisa, Nashville, TN, Verified Reviewer

I just received my fourth box from Stitch Fix and canceled my subscription today. Everything they send is usually from the Macy's or Nordstrom's Rack and if you do a quick online search, you can find the exact same items for less than half of what Stitch Fix charges you. In this last fix I received, there was a Collective Concepts dress that I loved but wasn't willing to pay $88 for. I went on eBay and found the exact same dress, same brand, brand new with tags for $19.99. Same thing with jeans and a jacket they sent. Their jewelry is cheap boutique junk that they sell for close to a 70% markup and despite my detailed descriptions of what I like, nothing I've received has been anything close to my style. I am not a fan. Take yourself to the mall and shop at Nordstrom's or online, you'll find the exact same stuff for way cheaper. And don't get charged a $20 styling fee every time they ship something.

Nordstrom prices, Dollar Store quality

By HonnyBrown, Washington, DC, Verified Reviewer

I was very excited to receive my first "fix." I opened the box and was more than disappointed. The stylist ignored every single thing that I said. I said I wanted corporate-classic, and I got weekend-dumpster. I kept the jewelry so I would not be out $20. I also kept a pair of slacks because I did not have that color. The following "fixes" were more of the same. I finally canceled.

Fast forward 6 months, the hem fell out of the pants, and one of the necklaces is turning green. It's not worth the price or the convenience.
