Great service

Did not clean as advertised

Used FixMeStick on three of my Win 10 PCs. Claimed to have found and cleaned several viruses on them, but then I re-ran AVG on them and it found more viruses that FixMeStick claims to have found and deleted. Not at all happy with this product and does not do as it claims to. Will not recommend to my friends. So disappointed.

I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with the FixMeStick and it didn't detect those viruses! FixMeStick doesn't scan web browsers, only viruses downloaded onto the computer (the hard to get ones!) so if AVG detected threats in your web browser, then this might explain why FixMeStick didn't remove them. Please reach out to us at support@fixmestick.com and we'll be more than happy to give you more information, and double check your system manually to see if there are any lingering threats. Did a good job

I have 3 computers; one desktop and two laptops. The desktop picked up a virus and locked it up. I called the number the scammer provided and the guy with a foreign accent said he would restore my computer for $190.00 USD I hung up and got a FixMeStick ran a scan and it works. Great product. I am not a computer professional.

It worked to get me back in to the computer

The FixMeStick removed what was locking up my computer. After that, it was not fully working as usual. I was able to get in and remove the Avast program which was what caused the original issue.

Problems starting FixMeStick

Recently had problems getting my stick to start running. Made several attempts as instructed, no luck. Contacted the Support Team via Chat. Was given lengthy instructions which were complicated to follow. Did my best and wonders - it worked. I was able to run a scan successfully. Thank you FixMeStick team.

Please, can anyone help? I have had the notification of delivery of my order...could not be delivered until customs charge of £34.40 had been paid. Think in advertisement maybe this should be added to the United Kingdom site, I would not have order and found something simial in the UK as already expensive, but hopefully will do the job purchased for.

Still get ad pop-ups

I still get ad pop-ups. My computer speed has improved somewhat. Verizon may have slowed up my modem speed, I'm not sure. Thanks, Mr. Lisa. Is there a way to speed up my computer even further? How do I completely eliminate all ads from my computer, they are a nuisance.

Very easy to do! Got my computer going again. I didn't lose my data. And saved me money! So if your computer gets a virus, this is what you need! I paid $50ish for the FixMeStick from Walmart and you can use up to 3 times, I believe, and I would pay that again if I had too. I will be telling everyone I know about it! Thanks for the invention of the FixMeStick!

I got a friend to help install it. I am not very tech-savvy. He had no problems. My battery died on my laptop and we were able to carry on once I plugged my computer in without a problem.

I had no viruses at this time.

First time use

Installed FixMeStick on my laptop and ran the program. When done, there was no change in my laptop's speed in booting and loading programs and internet. It was disappointing that it did not improve the function of my computer.

Great product

Received in a reasonable amount of time. A little shaky at first but actually pretty easy to install. I have a lot of photos on my computer so it took a little while to load. Computer has been running great after installation with no problems. This was a great buy and would recommend this product to everyone for peace of mind. I got this on HSN and I think I got a great deal.

Not easy to use

I tried 3 times and it doesn't work in Windows 10. I will try the boot method. Not happy spending $60. Gave up after 2 days, will try again later. Will report after I do the boot method. So don't be in a hurry to buy this. The YouTube videos are too old.

So far so good

The installation and scan went smoothly. FixMeStick found 11 problems that it quarantined. My regular anti-virus program had found 6. So far I am impressed. This review requiring me to write at least 180 characters before I have had much time to assess FixMeStick is a bit lame though.

Check with me in 6 months, I'll let ya know then. But thank you all for checking! That's more than most companies do! Nobody seems to want to make themselves available to their customers. One thumb up so far! Smiley face. One thing that is needed is 24-hour support. Then maybe if it works very well, two thumbs up. You will see I can't give a recommendation now, I don't know if it works, only time will tell! You might want to consider adding a third choice at your bottom line question (for those who just received the stick), it will remove the problem of checking the "No, I would not recommend box." But I can't tell others it works because I don't know it works yet - sorry.

Great, cleaned up my computer, made it much much more faster. You will find that you don't need a new computer, just need a very good cleaning. I don't know why I have to have one hundred and eighty charters.

Great product

Love the product. Couldn't get it to run from the instruction sheet. I tried several times but no luck. Went to the Boot menu and it worked perfectly. My Dell desktop, which we use every day, was clean. Glad of that. My Dell laptop, which we only use when traveling, had 4 problems. Ran from boot menu again and cleaned up all problems. Will take FixMeStick with me when we travel from now on. Better safe than sorry. Thanks again for the "Peace of Mind" I now have.

Was easy to use

I received it and used it immediately. Plugged it in and followed steps. I let it run and it didn't take too long on my desktop, approximately a few hours and I received an email that my computer was in good shape. I believe this will be an asset to the computers that I own and help with the health of PC. I strongly recommend getting this product, I feel it can help everyone out.

FixMeStick and SOS

I received a promotional e-mail from FixMeStick on SOS, the Cloud Back-Up system they recommended. I am not saying anything negative about SOS, but since I am limited to Century Link's Rural services, I must deal with the hand I'm dealt. It took both me and my wife 3 days (yes, three days) to download/upload our data to the cloud through the SOS program. I'm sure if I had a faster link it wouldn't be so bad. We decided that 3 days was unacceptable so we decided to cancel our SOS Backup program. I called SOS and they told me to call FixMeStick. I contacted FixMeStick through their online contact. I was fortunate to get Linda, who was personable and efficient in handling my cancellation. It is truly a pleasure to deal with someone who handles her job so well. Thank you Linda, and thank you FixMeStick for your exceptional customer service.

Very happy with 1st results

I HAD THOUGHT that maybe there was something on my machine because of slowness and freeze-ups every once in a while. I have protection on my computer but...you never know. I bought the FixMeStick for peace of mind. I plugged it in, followed the instructions and did the scan. It took a few hours...I took a nap. In the end, FixMeStick only located ONE issue. I knew this item was on my computer...a coupon printer, it had been there ever since I bought the computer. I had tried to remove it for years and could not. FixMeStick removed it. Now my internet provided that claimed there were no problems with the connection, or their equipment...that always wanted to claim I had something on my computer that was causing the periodic slowness, or freeze-ups has been proven WRONG! Seems when there is a problem the EASY thing to do is blame it on the user, not to fix the problem with their equipment. I am very happy. I have peace of mind. AND I have another old computer I want to try FixMeStick on. THANK YOU FixMeStick!

It works

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I found out about your product through a friend at work. I picked one up and it seems to work fine. I am kinda computer stupid so when something happens to any one of my systems (desktop, laptop) I kinda freak out. I am only running "defender" as my default protection but will run my stick once a month. Thanks for a great product!

Confusing startup

I hadn't used my FixMeStick for 2 years, and HSN advertised a new one with lifetime support, which reminded me that mine was sitting in the drawer. I got it out and read the instructions, plugged it in, and I wrote this to the help team:

FixMeStick is apparently breaking the Internet connection when it reboots the PC.

It then opens a window that completely covers my PC screen.

FixMeStick can't get an Internet connection, suggests I look one up.

I click on the select-an-internet icon, see my modem listed, click on that, and I know that what's happening is that it's waiting for me to enter the password - but there's no place on my screen to type anything or see anything I might happen to type.

The FixMeStick screen doesn't have any way to diminish the screen and get behind it to enter the password.

So the icon disappears and FixMeStick is still spinning.

The Help people recommended a Factory Upgrade of the FixMeStick, and I followed the steps for doing that.

I then tried following the steps for starting a scan, and got a message that this PC was not eligible for configuring. But FixMeStick proceeded with a scan anyway, and told me that it had quarantined one item.

I still don't know whether it ever got through the PC-configuring step, but it did spend time in the step to update its own memory, rather than just skipping over it. I guess I'll find out whether it did, if it finds something else the next time I run it.

I still think it's a super idea, and the lifetime support I got when I bought it through HSN is a life-saver. The help staff people contacted me first, when their network informed them that my first try had aborted - what a wonderful company ethic! And Karen Lam was particularly nice.

The shopping channel

The FixMeStick seems to work fine, however, this may not apply to you. I bought my FixMeStick on the shopping channel and it was supposed to come with 1 free year of NordPVN but that was a bust.

I did email TSC and NordPVN but got no reply. Won't be doing that again.
