Changing my life

Noom is not your regular weight loss, calorie counting app. I have a personal coach and a group coach that interact weekly and daily. The classes I access each day have taught to rethink my relationship to food, exercise, and sleep. I have learned how to tame my inner thoughts and make better choices. I’m a happier, more inspired me.

Has been a great program

This has been a great program. Down 14 lbs in the first month just by changing the way I eat. Great advice and great tips for helping me stay on track! Gives me a different way to look at food and makes me think a little more about what I am eating. I have a great coach that keeps me motivated and a team that is very encouraging. Even though I am doing this on my own, I don’t feel like I am alone.

Excellent, and goofy at times, but I like the mindfulness aspect of the app

I find this app very informative. However, I do not like the "nerd" aspect. I really like the mindfulness aspect. You don’t need to be cute to make this work. It has made me very aware of the choices I make - this app makes me responsible for my actions. Unlike other weight loss program, it teaches me how to prepare my meals that are available in my refrigerator. No one is sending food. I have to learn to shop and prepare my meals. I also have to be willing to step on the scale each morning and not beat myself up if I gain. I except the feelings and move on. I do not dwell. I am grateful for what has been accomplished and do not think about the final number. Very grateful.

Maybe it’s just where I am in life, but I am all in on this and am finding great success with this program. I don’t feel deprived or like I’m being punished. I am learning new habits and more importantly new ways to view food. The app provides great tools to track your progress and track your dietary process.

So far so good

So far so good. Noom has really helped me realize how many calories I was eating! I thought I was eating great and couldn't figure out why I wasn't losing weight. I was eating lower carbs, so I thought, but I wasn't. I wasn't eating some of the carbs I wanted. This app makes it really easy to be conscious of what you're eating and still be able to eat a lot a different food even "non-diet food" and stay in your calorie range. It has really helped me make better choices by letting you know how many calories certain foods have so you can choose if that's what you want to eat. I don't feel like I'm on a diet, I am learning how to fuel my body, and I'm not hungry at all. If I want a treat I can, I just stay within my calorie budget. I don't want to have certain foods anymore because there are WAY better choices for me. Also learning something new each day and looking at food and eating differently has really helped me have a more healthy relationship with food. I have learned a lot, I haven't felt hungry, I feel great, and I lost 10 pounds! I'm on my 6th week.

I signed up for Noom on a whim and am so glad I did. I was stuck in a place where I did not feel good about myself and it affected my self-confidence and ability to engage. I find that the psychology of Noom helps keep my head in the right place - not judging myself, not falling into all-or-nothing-thing, just patient, helpful, informed encouragement. I love it - it’s working!

I LOVE Noom!

I have always thought diets were a very anti-feminist concept, and that most of them encouraged unhealthy behavior. Noom is not like that at all. I have lost 11 lbs, but more importantly, I have really taken a good look at my personal psychology around eating, and I’m setting a good example for my son. My coach Danielle W. is wonderful.

I am so thrilled with Noom! I love the daily information. Working with a coach to develop individualized goals is incredibly helpful. I love my group! Having a group to relate to, for support, knowing that they are going through the same journey is so helpful. I’m changing the way I’m thinking about food, which makes this different from other programs I have tried. Noom is awesome!

Watch out Jennie...

I have been a Noomer for a little over five weeks and I am very happy with this program. What I like the most is the daily tips with regard to how different foods impact the body and consequently how to make smart food decisions whether I am cooking at home or eating out. I have previously been a part of Weight Watchers, and while that organization is very good, they don’t teach you about specific body interactions and what particular food types do in the system. There are other diets out there that will send you food that is already premeasured, so all you have to do is eat it. These diets work well also, however without the knowledge of how different foods interact with your body‘s metabolism keeping the weight off is the big problem. That is where Noom is different. As I am losing weight, I am also gaining insight into the best choices for me with regard to what I eat. I love the fact that no foods are ever off-limits. I was not sure about this program, but have since become a believer. I know that the weight comes off now will not come back. If you, like me, have yo-yo dieted and have seen all the weight come back and perhaps bring some friends, you really need to try Noom.

It works!

I am very pleased with Noom. It works and not just for the "now" but for life. It teaches new ways of thinking, new approaches to food, self-care and back it with scientific research and psychology (being a retired psychologist myself, that makes perfect sense to me). Great support is given through a personal coach, group coach, and peer group system. All in all an outstanding program!
