Great app, great program

By Tracy M., New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Simple app that's very easy to use. You're well supported throughout your time using the app and the coaches approach helping you in the manner that you ask them to. It's really easy to enter your food logs using the built-in list of foods and calories and the articles are useful, inspiring, and pretty funny. If your phone is like mine, it doesn't do a very good job of counting your steps, but there is actually a spot you can go to enter your steps manually.

I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to change not just their diet but also how they look at food and their relationship with it.

Totally legit

By Jennifer C., Timberlea, Nova Scotia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have had a great experience with Noom. I have tried pretty well every diet out there, Weight Watchers, Atkins, Keto, and nothing works long term. I had great success with Weight Watchers years ago when it was a calorie based program, but it stopped working for me when they changed to the freestyle program. Noom has been more than just a diet but a program and addresses many of the psychological aspects around food and eating. I already feel better have lost close to 15 pounds and have found lots of ways that should help in the future.

This is my 5th week of Noom and I have lost 5 pounds and I am learning how to eat right. I love the support and the humor they use. I highly recommend it!

It has kept me motivated and doesn’t beat me up if I fall off the wagon for the day!

Changing my life!

By Missie K., Cleveland, OH, Verified Reviewer

This has changed my life! I started with Noom because it was a 2-week promo. After 2 days I knew I needed this. It makes sense! I’m learning tricks and tips but also re-establishing a positive food relationship. I’m getting encouragement and setting goals with my coach. I’m sharing ideas and commiserating with my group.

I’m also using the things I’m learning in other aspects of my life - not just food! If you are at all curious - try it! You have nothing to lose except pounds and negative thought processes!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great program!

By Lindsay M., Delaware, Verified Reviewer

I wanted to lose weight for as long as I can remember. I tried so many different programs, but they were all the same. I would be really excited and follow the program perfectly, I would slip and that would be the end. Any weight loss would be gained back and then some. At 30 I was an exhausted mother of 2 who got tired walking up the stairs, weighing 2x what was considered healthy for my body. I was unhappy and my kids were developing the same bad habits I had been trying to break in my own life for years. I needed help and needed to change my relationship with myself.

I saw an ad for Noom December 2017 and I got really close to completing the questionnaire, but decided to try on my own again because there was money involved. I gave myself another year, another couple of restrictive diets and crazy exercise programs. In December 2018 I saw the same ad again, but this time I was 20 lbs heavier. I decided to give the 2-week trial a go and I haven’t looked back.

I have been on the program for 6 weeks, doesn’t sound like long, but I’ve never lasted this long on any program. I choose my menu, I eat pizza and Doritos. I have changed the way I perceive food, pizza is just pizza, and if I plan it into my week, I can eat it and still lose weight. Food is no longer a reward, punishment, or a coping mechanism; it’s just fuel.

After 3 weeks of the program, I chose to add in some exercise. My favorite part of the exercise is getting 50% of the calories burned added to your daily budget. At the start of week 6, I chose to increase my exercise to 30 minutes 5-7 days per week. I feel that amazing. Some days I take 3, 10 minute walks other days I hit the gym for 30 minutes.

I am still learning and have a long road to go, but after 6 weeks I don’t feel like I’m on a diet, I feel like I’m finally learning how to be in control. I’ve lost a little over 10 lbs since starting (90 to go), but the scale is not my first priority anymore. As the program goes forward the focus shifts from numbers on a scale to personal goals. I want to feel confident in my own skin.

I feel confident, I feel energized, my relationship with food has changed, and there is no doubt in my mind that I will meet my goals. I am not on a diet, I am on a journey of self-discovery and learning to love food again.

Noom is like getting counseling every day

By Viki A., Nottingham, MD, Verified Reviewer

I have been going to counseling for Binge Eating Disorder for over two years. When I told her about Noom she liked what they were telling me. For the first time ever I’m now eating mindfully and have lost over 13 lb in six weeks! Every day I read something my counselor has told me at some point. I feel like I am truly changing my relationship with food thanks to Noom!

Awesome lifestyle change program!

By Cynthia S., Westlake, OH, Verified Reviewer

This program gives you solid information on how to change your lifestyle with healthy eating - not depriving yourself, exercise combined with the psychology of why we eat and react to what is happening around us. This has been a Godsend! I’m learning so much. It has been so easy to follow. And the results are wonderful.

Great program

By Kenyetta K., Fleming Island, FL, Verified Reviewer

I love learning the science of weight loss and having an interactive coach. At first, some of the daily tasks seemed tedious, but now they are part of my daily routine. All of the knowledge I’ve gained is unmeasurable.

Noom

By Lori U., Pagosa Springs, CO, Verified Reviewer

I love Noom. I have been overweight for 17 years after giving birth to my child. I could never find a diet that really helped me understand what I needed to eat and why and how I could keep it off. I absolutely love the thought process of it and how I feel. I will tell everyone. Thanks Noom.

Fellow Noomer

By Mark D., Chicago, IL, Verified Reviewer

I started Noom at the beginning of January at 328 lbs. I've been watching the color chart pretty close and this morning I weighed in at 312.2. It's the first program that I tried that didn't tell me what to eat! It's teaching me what foods I should be eating, but I feel a freedom to eat better and using the color chart it helps me make the right choices. I love my coach, she gives me different ideas and keeps things positive. I'm not into the group thing, so I just don't go there. Plenty of reading with this program too! My weight does vary up and down day to day, but overall I'm happy with the direction I'm going, the program is working for me so far!

Effective app

By Rebecca L., Newport Beach, CA, Verified Reviewer

I absolutely love the writing, the organization, and how down to earth it is. It’s informative! And for a psych major, it’s fantastic! I have almost lost 10 pounds in a month. My only qualm is the layout of the food diary. It definitely needs revision. It’s difficult to go back you have to exit and go to the beginning to add a new item. My goal coach and my support group or my daily go-to’s. My goal coach is communicative, positive and useful. This app is the first thing I use in the morning and the last thing I use at night. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a different way to lose weight and learn about their relationship with food.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
