Highly recommended

By Jill S., Johnstown, PA, Verified Reviewer

Noom is the first holistic diet I have tried that makes the experience fun and interactive. I also love the daily articles that explain the why’s and the science behind it all. There is tons of information on a daily basis but given in a way and amount that’s not overwhelming. I enjoy my group and that I get a goal coach that keeps me accountable. Using the app is fun and user-friendly. Thank you!

Do not waste your time

By Barb S., Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

This is not at all personalized and too few calories per day. It would not work for most people long term. You can do much better with Weight Watchers online or a low carb plan. I would not recommend this at all. I'm disappointed, and it's a waste of time.

Total scam

By Angela S., San Francisco, CA, Verified Reviewer

I signed up for a one time charge of $99.00 in March and in July my card was charged another $99. I had to work with my bank to file a fraud claim. There is no way to get in contact with Noom. The app was a total joke and MyFitnessPal the free version has much better technology. The calorie counter was wrong for almost every product already in their system. I discontinued using in the first month. I tried to contact Nom via the customer service email and via the app with no response. I never subscribed to an ongoing subscription, but the company charged me for it.

Huge disappointment

By Josey E., Texas, Verified Reviewer

I signed up for Noom after making my New Year resolutions, but by the end of February, I was no longer using it. I should have canceled it then but kept thinking I would give it another try. When I finally canceled, it was on the same day they charged me another $97. When I asked them for a reimbursement, they ghosted me. No one returned my emails, and I realized you can't leave a message on their voicemail. They took the money and were gone, no concern for customer service. My take away is Noom is more concerned with getting money than helping customers.

Worst experience ever

By Anne K., Green Bay, WI, Verified Reviewer

This is either a scam or the worst customer service in the history of the world. I signed up on July 4th, and immediately canceled on July 4th based on having to use an app on a smartphone, received confirmation of my cancellation on July 4th. Was assured "Your account won't be charged" but the money was already taken out of my PayPal account.

I contacted their email support and received a reply on July 6th that they had received my message and not to contact them again so as not to slow down replying to my initial inquiry asking for a refund/reimbursement. It is now two weeks later, and I have not heard anything. I, of course, can not use the Noom app to contact them because I had canceled. The three phone numbers I tried do not allow you to leave a message and tell you to install the app and cancel that way; no other way to contact via email or phone. Time to lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Not value for money

By Diane M., Bulgaria, Verified Reviewer

This company is not upfront with its charges. It is supposed to be a 14-day trial, which is not made clear when joining. This was taken from my PayPal after only a week. Contact with your coach needs to be initiated by you; when I didn’t message her, there was no reminder or motivational message from her.

Regarding course content and value for money, I think it is very expensive, you wouldn’t pay this much to join a gym. And most of the recipes and other information on nutrition can be found on the internet. They have no refund policy after 14 days. However, they did make an exception in my case.

Horrible service and scam

By Yasmine A., California, Verified Reviewer

This app, which started with a free month, was total garbage. The specialist response time was terrible, it the content was useless, I don’t even know if it's actual coaches or a bot. To make things worse after I canceled my account and deleted the app, they charged me for months, and when I contacted the company about it, they were not helpful, and I had to had to have my bank process it as a disputed charge. Don't sign up for this service, it's a scam!

Not everything it promises to be.

By Me E., Minneapolis, MN, Verified Reviewer

I tried out Noom for a couple of months before deciding it wasn't working out for me. They tout how well the psychology works for reaching your goals, which for most people I saw using it is losing weight. It didn't help. It relies a lot on your motivation and ability to set goals, but I was using this because I wanted to be told how to lose the weight I wanted to lose, and I thought as a fitness program it would do that. The only thing it pushes for is food moderation through calorie counting and meeting your step goals from what I saw. I had been counting calories on my own, but needed good motivation to continue doing it strictly, and this didn't do that. I also wanted to be pushed to exercise or do additional things to improve my health, but this didn't do that.

Scam!

By Sam M., Canada, Verified Reviewer

What a SCAM. Don't sign up! After less than 14 days they debited my account over $200. There's no number to call for a refund, and the app is a joke. If they were worth it, they wouldn't need to charge a stupid amount of money out of the gates. Greedy and pathetic.

Not for busy people (Noom)

By Cynthia S., Illinois, Verified Reviewer

On the 15th day early in the morning, my card was charged 135.00. WOW! I was furious. I was going to cancel on the 14th day. I just do not have time to enter everything I eat and read all these articles and pep talks. This was not worth my $135.00. I could get what they are talking about from health magazine. RIP OFF. Now am stuck with six months of something I do not want.

Be sure to cancel your trial on time

By Renee G., Florida, Verified Reviewer

While I thought the content was well laid out and engaging, it didn't appeal to me as it was nothing new. Consequently, I did not use it. I had marked on my calendar for the 14th day to cancel (in case I forgot), and on the THIRTEENTH day, my account was drafted. I double checked with my bank account, and I had the days correct. There is NO way to call customer service, only email. And they make it clear in the automated response that they will not refund, only cancel the subscription moving forward.

So I was out $140 for something I did not use, and on a day I desperately needed the money. No compassion, this is a racket. Most companies would refund. This is not good company policy. I would not recommend.
