Terrible experience!

I had a terrible customer service experience with Arianne. Beware, when you sign up for a Curology subscription, they are basically scammers.

I signed up for the free trial kit, which didn't react well with my skin, so I requested a formula change. I emailed the support team asking how payment would go and how I would proceed with getting another trial kit. Arianne replied back with a generic response that my "shipment is set to process" and my "new formula will apply to this shipment." Which DIDN'T ADDRESS ANY of my concerns!

I then see a $40 charge on my credit card bill. They charged me for a full-size bottle when I simply requested for a trial-sized formula change. I tried to reach out to Arianne to get a refund or work something out, but she stopped replying.

Bottom line...the concept of Curology has potential, but they have to stop taking advantage of their customers. We need to find a formula that WORKS for us BEFORE we commit to the $40 full-size bottle! So disappointing...

This free shipment gives the chance to try out our service and one custom formula at no cost beyond shipping and handling.

Any new shipments beyond your trial will be billed based on your chosen subscription plan. At any time, you can reach out to your provider to make updates to your formula and that will apply to your next shipment with us. We're also happy to help update your plan to ensure you are receiving the size you would prefer, or you are free to change your plan anytime via your Plan Page.

This whole company is a scam

I used the formula that was "made for my skin" and my face broke out worse than I've ever broken out before. I messaged my provider and instead of changing the formula to fix it, they sent me the exact same mixture, and oh by the way, conveniently, they do not do returns. Complete scam. Do not use this product.

Attractive product. Failing customer service.

I also agree with the majority of these negative reviews.

Luckily, my email received a reply immediately after a few hours from a Mrs. Sarah. Here’s the situation.

I applied for the free trial. The product made my skin a lot worse and hurtful to the touch. However, I chose to trust in the product and decided to pause my membership to possibly try a different formula.

Immediately, they send me the same product that I communicated (via email) was terrible for my skin. And they also charged me a whopping $60.

Sarah clarified how the "pausing option" skips a few shipments and resumes them for later. That is completely understandable.

I am simply frustrated because customer service simply ignored my situation and ended with a "Thanks for being a Curology member. We’ll always be here if you change your mind." They did not offer an alternative for me. It seemed that my dissatisfaction or concerns about their system mattered nothing to them. Considering that I paused my service, It would be great if the 90-day refund guarantee was applicable. Or they could resend me a different prescription (that I could actually use) to replace the one shipped.

I truly want to respect this organization again and recommend it to my friends, because this is a great service for acne prone people. But they are not doing everything wrong in regards to customer service. Please fix this.

Disappointed

I have recently tried a Curology trial cure for wellness of skin. I am not pleased with the product or online chats. I used the suggestions made for additional use with their products. Such as moisturizer, face got considerably worse. Stopped trial and add on products.

Returned and get suggestions of what they can do. Might as well throw your money in the trash. I will not return to any of their consultants or their products. So much for one-on-one. What a waste of my time and trust. Back to square one. Have a nice day.

Not working for aging skin

This product might work for acne but does nothing for aging skin! After 6 months of using the cream on alternate days, I find my skin really dry and with a crepey look that was not there before. The appearance of the wrinkles is more pronounced and overall the skin is very dry.

Waste your money on something else.

Curology seems perfect until I subscribed and agreed to purchase a 2-month bottle! In other words, once I agreed to have my credit card charged, their service turned from a 10 to pretty-much-a-scam. When I first signed up for the free trials, I received all kinds of emails and text messages for updates from their customer service and the physician assistant (or at least who claimed to be so), which seems great. After I subscribed, emails/text messages/updates are gone. When I decided to unsubscribe because I see no improvement on my skin, I logged into my account and somehow all the legit stuff (components of my formula, info of the "PA" who prescribe my formula, etc.) has disappeared. Instead, I got stuck on this page which kept asking me to activate my trial. I emailed them (because they don't even have a phone number) to cancel my subscription after three months and a bunch of charges on my credit card.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Terrible customer service

I uploaded clear and bright photos of my acne from every angle in the broad daylight with no filters and no makeup on, and the customer service representative said she needed more photos in order to prescribe me the correct acne product. I couldn't have taken clearer or better photos. The ones that I sent showed my cystic acne clearly, and I told her that these photos were the best I had. She couldn't accommodate or work with the photos I sent her so I canceled my subscription and never even had a chance to try the free sample.

This was such a disappointing experience since the YouTube commercial of the female swimmer with the body acne was so convincing. I was so excited to try out this product since nothing else has helped my terrible cystic acne. This was one of the most uncommunicative and strange interactions I've ever had with a company. The least they could have done is whipped up something for my acne based on my written description and the photos I sent them and let me try the product out. I will not be recommending this service to anyone. Raelyn Fournier, PA-C, was the person handling my order.

Not for me

I tried Curology because it kept popping up on my Instagram and Snapchat as an ad. I’ve never had too much trouble with my skin, just a few pimples here and there. Never suffered from zits (I’ve been quite lucky) but I wanted to give the formula a try because why not try to achieve flawless skin?

I honestly regret trying it now. They keep mentioning online about "skin purging" where according to Curology, your skin is SUPPOSED to get way worse before it gets better. So when painful, almost impossible to get rid of zits started showing up, I figured it was just part of the "purging process" and didn’t give it much thought. Then I started to get rashes and my skin started flaking. I tried to use less of the medication in case I was maybe overdoing it, but my face just got worse and worse.

A week after I stopped using Curology my face completely cleared. No more pimples or painful zits. Curology simply wasn’t for me. It didn’t work whatsoever. Lesson learned!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Monthly re-occurring SCAM

My daughter was lured into a monthly re-occurring $39.90 membership via an Instagram ad. "Free Sample" just pay shipping costs of $4.95 resulted in hidden language of a monthly drop shipment. When you go to cancel it, there are no phone numbers, only a support email address. Better Business Bureau has a phone number listed, however, when you call it, it re-directs you to the support email address, shady!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Terrible and unforgiving

If you are here and reading this, then you were just like me. I was combing through reviews trying to decide if this product was going to be good. Well, it wasn't. It did absolutely nothing for my skin. And when it came time for me to cancel I was still charged $40 even when I no longer wanted the service. I had originally signed up for the 1-month $20 plan. Come to find out I had automatically been upgraded to the 2-month $40 plan. So that just drew the line. So now thanks to Curology, I am stuck paying $40 for a product I hate and don't want.

Horrible product - scam - stay away!

I am so disappointed. I made an order on February 22nd, I did not receive a package until today (March 5, 2019) and my box came all damaged with a half-open bottle. I have tried to contact customer service but there is no way you can get in touch with anyone via phone. Also, because my package was so late, I have tried contacting customer service via email, NO RESPONSE!

What a waste of money this was, I feel SO horrible because I was looking forward to it, but after reading all these horrible reviews, I feel stupid for being so desperate and still ordering it.
