Incredible

I have struggled with weight issues all my life. I have tried many diets. I lose a few pounds and then gain it back. Unfortunately, the pounds always brought along a few friends. Noom is different. I am not starving myself. I am enjoying meals. The encouragement from my coach and my group is just what I need, I am accountable but not intimidated. This is the first program I have seen that recognizes that you are human and not perfect all the time. You owe it to yourself to try this.

Noom is working for me

It’s not like there’s a magic bullet out there for weight loss. And, Noom doesn’t promote itself as a magic bullet. What I am finding, as I use Noom, is that I am learning about how to recognize my thought distortions, habits, and increasing my awareness to consciously make food choices. Food choices that may include a dessert or cocktail.

I’ve tired of the yo-yo dieting I’ve done in the past. So, I quit. I held my weight for a long time, then life went "whack-a-mole" on me, and I began drinking fewer smoothies for lunch and drinking more wine in the evenings. Then I noticed my weight creeping up. I wanted, needed, a plan that I could fit into my life and schedule. In came Noom.

I like the daily lessons, the daily weigh-in, the check-in’s with my coach, and the group support...all from my phone. Each of these things keeps my awareness at top of mind. Am I hungry? Or, fog eating? Am I moving enough? Or sitting all day? Noom helps remind me of things I know. Apparently I needed to spend money to make myself utilize what I know and commit to a healthy plan.

I’ve lost 9 pounds since I started at the end of December. I also had company and continued eating out and drinking wine while my friend visited the first week of January. I am at choice, to eat whatever I want. What I love is seeing how food impacts me day to day. Noticing and being reminded of what energizes me, or makes me feel lethargic. Since really, starting, I’m sleeping better, have more focus, and am more energetic.

Basically, this isn’t an instant, drop 30 in 30 days approach. And, frankly, that doesn’t work anyway. This is a longer commitment. A commitment to yourself, to become conscious in your choices. To love yourself enough to stop the all or nothing habits. To find and develop your food, exercise, and mind awareness.

Noom is reminding me of the balance I want, not only in my life, but in my diet. Forging a path to a new way of being in a relationship with food.

Great accountability and loads of helpful information

I was looking for a weight loss program where I would have a coach to hold me accountable. I thought if I'd just have someone to motivate me I would be successful in losing some pounds. My wife went to TOPS, which helped her. But most of the attendees were women. I happened to be in a waiting room at our local GMC dealer when this TV commercial for Noom appeared. I downloaded the app and was delighted with their program. Loads of motivating information EVERY DAY! I am on now for a month and plan to be part of the program for a long time.

I have been very pleased with my Noom experience, so far. I am seeing results. I am taking in all of the coaching and tips, and really starting to change my psychological relationship with food. I feel like these are sustainable, habit-building practices. Would definitely recommend!

Great accountability tool

I will admit that I am not seeing the results that I had hoped for with Noom. My weight is just not coming off in the way that I hoped it would, however, I am seeing positive changes in my body and lifestyle that make me want to continue on this journey, because at this time in my life, that’s really what it is about. I’ve tried many get fit plans in the past, but my approach was really "all or nothing." As soon as something broke down in my plan, it was over.

What I really like about Noom is the build in support, the encouragement, and the self-reflection. You are taught how to increase your efforts slowly so you are not overwhelmed and to measure your successes in small, and sustainable ways. You are reminded to be kind to yourself and push your boundaries at the same time. You learn the power of self-reflection and accountability. The daily check in’s really do help keep you on track and you’re given lots of knowledge along the way.

The personal and group support that are in the program are invaluable and make the program much more personalized. Without these components, it would still be a good program, but without the "real live person" component, I don’t think the program would be nearly as effective.

Love it!

Noom is great! I’ve been on it for a month now and have lost over 15 pounds. I feel better, and I have had to get my skinny jeans out of the attic. And it hasn’t been hard. The Noom program adapts to my lifestyle, rather than requiring me to adapt to it. I read the Noom lesson first thing every morning, and it helps me throughout the day.

Great stuff

I have done so many diet programs. This one is the first to dig deep into the why’s I do what I do...and provides me the tools and techniques to handle them.

The coaching is first rate and the research is verifiable. I am really happy with my results even though I am currently not losing at any spectacular rate. I am losing weight steadily and carefully.

The diet is not exclusionary but teaches balance. I eat pretty much what I want but in better balance. I have increased the number of salads I eat each week, but that is the biggest change beyond portion control and balance. Understanding how foods work together was eye-opening for me. The role of movement, not necessarily exercise, but just more movement in metabolism was newsworthy.

This is a game-changing program.

Almost perfect

I have found it hard to use the group chat. I get a notice when someone comments on a post, but then it can be hard to find it. I kind of wish the group wasn’t so large and felt more connected to each other.

I wish I didn’t have to exit the meal log to use it again. Wish there was a way to go back from the analysis page.

It would be nice to be able to click on glasses of water without logging it in the current way.

Hooked in Sonoma

I was initially skeptical about the ads for Noon. But then I decided to give it a try since I was offered a free 7-day trial. After a couple of days, I was hooked and officially joined Noom. I have tried every diet out there, seriously! I had bad habits that I just could not shake. Noom is different. It is actually a way to live. I wake up every morning, excited to check Noom first thing after I weigh myself and grab my coffee. I look so forward to my daily tips and readings. I was a nurse for 35 years and I am learning more about my body's metabolism and my psychological reasons for the foods I used to choose than I ever did in nursing school. And it only takes a few minutes every morning. I have a support group of women who are like me who have tried weight loss programs before just to gain back the weight. The encouragement from my group and my coach is the positive reinforcement I need to stick with a healthy eating and a new lifestyle. Thank you Noom!

The best way to achieve weight loss!

I’ve tried other weight loss programs and did ok for a bit but never understood the how or why of weight loss. As a result, I’d gain the weight back and then some. With Noom, I am learning every day through the scientific and psychological information we are given. I am being empowered through this information to understand the how and why of weight loss. In a few short weeks, I’ve lost almost 8 pounds. I feel confident that this program will enable me to continue to my ideal weight and I’m sure it will be sustainable. Thank you, Noom!

Noom is a fantastic program!

Noom is the weight loss program that I have been waiting for most of my adult life! It not only teaches you how to lose weight but the whys and whens as well.

It incorporates psychology in its program to help you understand why you eat the way you do. It then gives you tools to tackle your eating habits and to overcome the bad habits while building healthy ones.

The only negative thing is after the 4-month program, you no longer have access to all the recipes.
