Love it, so far...

I had to do something, Noom kept coming up on my Facebook feed. The cost is a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it's doable AND after 36 days, worth it! I have been slowly making changes, trying to develop better habits. It's even helping my husband think about what he tries to feed me. He loves to cook, like his mother, it's "Eat, eat more, thirds?!" And this is after huge portions!

I'm looking forward to future successes. Oh did I mention I've lost 9 lbs in 35 days?

Interesting

This by far is the next website, although I thought I was paying more per month than other apps for personalization. I’m not so sure this is the case, and this is the reason why I haven’t recommended friends. Although it’s working for me, it’s not because of a personalized coach or coaching.

I have struggled through so many weight loss programs; I lost, I gained. When I found Noom, yes, I was a skeptic, I'm not going to lose. Well, I've already lost 13 lb in one month. I am overwhelmed with this program. I have looked at food differently, and now my portions are different. This program makes you think when you're at the store, you look at the box, see how much sugar is in it, see how many calories, and you put it down. You look at the way you eat differently now and I feel great and I look great. This program is fabulous.

I joined Noom one month ago hoping for success. I have to say this is the best program I have ever tried! The app makes it easy and convenient to keep track of everything. Noom is easy to stick to. I love the helpful daily lessons.

Noom

I started Noom a little over four weeks ago. So far I have learned basically the same stuff as other programs just more sophisticated and in-depth terminology. I find that I feel like I need to start over because of all the task that is being taught are so fast-paced. My advise would be to have a notebook and write the tasks down because there are so many tasks that I learn a new one and get excited before I've gotten the last one down and I'm focusing on the new and forgetting the old.

I have dropped a few pounds. I guess as long as I'm not gaining it's a good thing. Time will tell to see if everything can be accomplished that the program is meant for.

The food logging needs a drastic overhaul. I find most of the things that I try to log are not in the database. It's not user-friendly as far as food available and ease of logging as the other programs I've used.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Gives what's promised

I love the multiple daily check-ins and lessons all in one place. The language of the app has a great sense of humor. Four weeks in I've lost some weight, learned a lot, made connections with group members and my personal couch, and am feeling better about my health journey! I've never felt pressured to create unrealistic for my goals and if anything the forward pace of the program is a little fast, so I'm never bored.

New life ahead

I find Noom honest and I can relate to other user's experience. It explains why we behave like we do and helps find our own way to change what could be improved. I find it designed for an American audience and sometimes it is difficult to follow (different measurement system, food database not completely useful, habits described not relatable). However, the core is super valid and really helpful to investigate bad habits from a scientific and psychological point of view.

Good experience

I am enjoying using Noom. Successfully losing weight so far. I only chat with my coach once a week but I also have a "group" that I am assigned to, and it is helpful to be linked to other people who are going through the same experience. There are good suggestions and "tricks" that are helping me reframe this familiar journey.

Great info for all the things you need to make better choices. Good tracking system for feedback. Coach and connection to others going through the same thing. Would recommend it for anyone trying to make healthy choices regardless of how much weight you need to lose.

I lost weight

Well, the best part about Noom is that I did lose weight. Keeping track of calories is actually the best way to lose weight.

I like that it's very easy to log food. The items pop up quickly and are usually on the list. It's also easy to add an item.

I also like the green, yellow and red foods. It's easy to understand and makes a lot of sense.

I also like the daily steps.

I love Noom!

Using Noom has completely changed my relationship with food. I have spent years bouncing back and forth between eating a low carb diet and carb binging. With Noom, I am realizing that the more I give my body a moderate amount of healthy carbs, the more my sugar cravings are reduced. Knowing that I can eat whatever I choose as long as it fits within my calorie budget has been freeing, as well. The articles are informative and enjoyable to read. My goal specialist has checked in once a week to give me suggestions and support, and my group offers tips and shares struggles. I have lost 10 pounds in 5 weeks without ever feeling deprived.
