Noom is my guru, speaks to my inner nerd.

I love food. I have an unnatural obsession with food. I can remember almost every meal I have ever had and where I was when I ate it. So...the doctor says my numbers are great, but I am 2 inches too short for my weight according to the BMI chart.

Noom is my guru. The pitfalls, the setbacks, the possibilities of what could be affecting your weight loss (or lack thereof) are addressed and analyzed in a surprisingly entertaining way in less than 10 minutes a day! It’s a mindset change instead of a temporary diet.

It has a refreshing way of making you accept everything you used to label a "mistake" - weight loss killers you used to and still make and turn it into a learning moment or even acceptable or "hey you HAVE to do this!"

I have been off and on every program you can think of for the past 18 years and this is the one that makes the most sense to me. The science behind the physiological and psychological obstacles make it easier to make daily adjustments to the decisions that could affect reaching your goals - whether it is weight loss or just achieving a healthier lifestyle.

For example, I took Noom's advice, I don’t think I ever have before in my many many many diets. It was based on the article of hormone explanations and plateaus. Coincidentally (or not), I was in a plateau-(alright alright) a hill. So instead of derailing and giving up as my typical MO, I looked at what I was doing, stayed true to the process (rode the wave) despite the scale readings, and added more calories while staying in the good range (schooled by the hormone article thing). Check it - the scale has been going down again for the past week!

Here’s a few extra bonuses besides the weight loss: extra energy, better sleep, and strangely enough, less stressed. Best bonus in my family’s opinion who used to hide from during my quests to lose weight - I am "happy even on a diet," lol.

All in all, I have a long way to go, but I am actually enjoying to ride!

I love Noom! It's a new approach that I have never tried before. It works on the way you think and respond to food. It teaches you how to never diet again and learn how to lose and maintain your weight without removing any particular food from your life.

I would definitely recommend this program to anyone that wants to learn to never diet again.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Noom. The weight loss is great. The support from the staff and the members of my group is awesome. It's nice to go to my group and read their posts. Very helpful to me seeing other people's successes and also problems, because I encounter them too. My Group coach is very supportive.

Best plan ever

This is not your typical "diet." This equips you with more than logging food and weighing in. The coach knows what you are doing. Mine let me know I was missing out on logging in meals. They prompt you to do more than just change your food choices. They help you set other goals and help you look at barriers to your goals and work past them. You must be prepared to change. I have for five weeks taken every meal to work. I have more energy. I can feel the difference in how my clothes fit and lighter going up steps. It took a year prior to Noom to lose 14 pounds. In five weeks I have lost nearly 10 pounds with just a few minor changes.

Noom is a program that helps you address your day to day life challenges. It educates and makes you rethink why you make the bad choices and how both internal and external factors play an important role. As the program says from day one all you have to do is BELIEVE. It's not hard to follow, and what makes the program worth its money is that as soon as you are about to stumble, here is the lesson to help you before you can even go there with yourself. The materials they provide give you all you need. Plus your personal coach and group coach are marvelous and will help you through the process.

I'm a total Noomer!

Since starting Noom the first of January I have felt so much better with myself. Noom is just so easy and fun...yes I said fun.

Expectations

I was skeptical at first, to say the least. Been down the road many times. Decided to give it a chance. At 6 weeks I'm very satisfied with all the new things I've learned and my new healthy habits! I have made progress and have a long way to go. But, I see the method to the madness and it's working. I feel much better, I have more energy and most of all, I feel healthier! Will be sticking on this plan and referring it to others.

My positive experience with Noom

I have been on many diets over the years and always lost weight and then gained it all back. I am learning a lot about my body, hormones, and the psychological aspect of eating healthy and staying healthy. For example, I did not understand why after losing 88 pounds I felt like I was starving all the time and gained back 29 pounds. Now I understand that I felt like I was starving because my hormones were telling me I was hungry and there are ways to counteract that! I am also learning how to hold myself accountable for my health and fitness and not have to rely on someone else to hold me accountable. I love that no food is off limits and I can have what I want in moderation. I have actually been able to eat two pieces of chocolate and not tried to eat the whole back after that! I love Noom, my personal coach, and my group coach! I have so many ways to feel supported and encouraged and I have valuable resources any time I need them. I also love the group I have been interacting with for more support, encouragement, and understanding.

It's working!

So far, in this first month I've lost 13 lbs. I really appreciate the daily insights and helpful guidance. I think that these are what has made the difference for me from other weight loss attempts. The daily interaction, keeps me coming back to see what is new and to connect with my group.
