Not at all like the ad showed. Giving to my kids for play makeup. My pallet, which I thought I was receiving loose pigment, ended up with a shade loose, that I had to salvage. Only thing I would try is the mask, which I can go to Ulta and spend 5 bucks on and receive better quality.

Fraud - they buy Focallure in Wish China and distribute in USA!

I ordered this subscription BabeBox over a month ago. I never got a tracking number and when I emailed for weeks a variety of staff that didn't communicate well kept telling me to be patient. I told them this is fraud clearly and if they don't refund me that I would screenshot all emails and issues and post it. Heck, I even messaged their Facebook social page and nothing. Finally, a guy named Myles assured me he would quickly refund it and cancel for me. The next day I got different staff messaging me again that it's on its way be patient. I forwarded them the email from Myles confirming he would cancel and refund and they just replied it's on its way. Focallure is available on Wish app and I believe a distributor in the USA is creating subscription boxes with China products from Wish since it's the same brand and about a buck or two to buy on Wish. They are clearly lying and passing this off. Well, I decided since they are not honest and clearly crooks to spread my message along with my friends. When their Facebook group posts ads for the beauty subscription box and new products I post my issues and emails as proof. Now instead of refunding me they are losing clients and hopefully people read the notes and avoid this crap and don't get duped like I did.

Scammers, please do not purchase!

This site is stealing another brand's name. They are selling products from Ali Express that are not worth more than $20, when users are paying $29 + shipping. Also, some of the products are previously opened when the arrive. They won't let you cancel either.

BabeBox scam

As the HighYa staff member pointed out in their summary of Focallure, there are a number of yellow flags raised by this company and the staff member points out poor grammar.

While dealing with their customer service team ("Customer Happiness Engineers" as they call them) to cancel my subscription, I’ve been bounced around (on email) between three individuals. The first was fine and no red flags had been raised. I explained to this person that I wanted to cancel and my reason why.

I then received a response from a second person who was answering as if I were looking for tracking information. I responded to this person explaining that their answer was completely irrelevant to my query. While reading over the email, I noticed that this second persons email signature - which matches the first person’s, aside from name, and seemed to be a pre-formatted company signature - showed this second person’s title as being a "Customer Happines Engeneer", instead of a "Customer Happiness Engineer" like the first person’s. This was a huge red flag for me as it reminded me of an experience I had with another scam a couple of months ago. I’m convinced that they aren’t located in the US as they claim to be and as the HighYa staff member suggests in their summary.

I eventually received a response from a third person who sent me a link to a cancellation form. After reading through the form carefully, filling it out, and submitting it, I received an email confirming a new order had been placed. I had not placed another order and had explicitly stated that I didn’t want to receive any future orders with them.

I reached out again asking for clarification and that’s where my experience with them ends for now. Suffice it to say that I plan on NEVER doing business with Focallure in the future and I highly suggest that anyone considering making a purchase from this company look elsewhere. You can get a subscription box containing similar products for a similar price from many other companies that are legitimate and not scams.

Very poor experience

I have been trying to contact their customer service which has no number, there isn’t actually a live chat (you create a message and wait for them to email you back) and on an urgent time-sensitive manner they haven’t replied in over a day so I would have to say the customer service is very bad.

On top of that, the issue in question that I contacted them for has to do with how the website showed my next charge date for my subscription as August 1st and instead charged me in July when I hadn’t gotten a confirmation email or a shipping email or anything regarding my late June purchase, so seeing as how the email record was as well as the information regarding my account I was probably getting a box in July and I did not cancel my subscription yet to see if I would want another one in August AFTER getting the one in July (still no sign of that one). I am very disappointed and feel duped for my money. It's the worst feeling.

I have emailed multiple times for them to cancel my subscription of BabeBox and they are ignoring my emails and there's no number to call. They have tried to pull money multiple times from my credit card.

They will harass you nonstop if you want to cancel. Their website says it’s easy to cancel by email. They have emailed me nonstop to update my payment info even though I keep telling them that I want to cancel. Beware of their harassment. Never even received one item from them and they are harassing me! Not worth it.

I recently got the BabeBox. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT waste your time with this subscription! $29.99 a month, full-size products...sounds great, expensive, but possibly worth it right? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I got a unicorn little stubby brush and I saw the EXACT same one at Dollar Tree 2 days later for $1.

Terrible company, here’s their phone number

I have had a HORRIBLE experience with their customer service. Hated the products. Didn’t receive things after being charged, etc. It wasn’t until I threatened FTC and BBB complaints that I finally got my issues resolved. If you’re having trouble with them please call them here: (855) 322-0193.

They claim to be very open to listening to customer complaints. Would love to hear if anyone else gets their issues resolved. I am supposed to receive a refund.

I think it’s a fraud!

I’ve been charged now for several boxes, after canceling my subscription. They say that they are not part of Allure but the products that are supposed to be from their box are identical to the Allure box. I’ve been trying to get a refund and they just continue to talk in circles.

BEWARE of the "FREE" Beauty Box

I signed up for a free trial box and all I had to pay was $6.95 shipping. The first box showed that it had shipped but I never received it! After contacting them a few times they determined that it was lost. They shipped another box out to me. I was less than thrilled with the contents of the box! My Ipsy box is way better and only costs $10 and I do NOT have to pay shipping! I tried to cancel my subscription but was told that I was required to get at least one full-price box before I could cancel the subscription. (The paperwork where I signed up for the FREE box did NOT specify this!) So needless to say they continually tried to bill my PayPal account, and I tried to make sure that there was never enough money for them to be able to bill me, since they REFUSED to CANCEL my account! They offered percentages off to try another box, and eventually they won! I had enough money in my PayPal account and they charged me $35.95 for another Beauty Box! I’m STILL TRYING TO GET my subscription CANCELED!

NOT IMPRESSED with the PRODUCTS in the box or the CUSTOMER SERVICE! Both are SAD!

Would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. I signed up with a promotional offer on my first box, feeling that was a good deal. Absolutely no information was given that I was required to get a second box also. I signed up under Focallure Beauty, I suppose before they rebranded to BabeBox. I decided the service wasn't for me after my first box, and requested cancellation immediately. They said they canceled my subscription, and even when I tried to log in it said there was no active account. I was still charged a $39.95 fee a week later. I have gotten the run around for well over a month, with them saying they were giving a refund and then they never did. I finally got $11.60 of my $39.95 charged refunded today.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, they are very shady and have horrible customer service! Clear communication and making a potential referral mean nothing to them. I very frequently refer my friends and network to subscription services, as I am also the first to try them out.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bad products, even worse customer service that won't allow you to unsubscribe. I had to revoke their permissions to bill me on PayPal in order to cancel. Would not recommend, stick with Boxycharm or FabFitFun.

Fraudulent company with lack of ethics and truth.

The advertised "free" box costs you $40, no matter what. I saw the surprising charge the day after I received my "free" box. No one in customer service has gotten back to me yet (other than to say no one is available in customer service to get back to me for 4 days) so I went to their social media and saw numerous complaints similar in nature. The company’s defense was that this $40 charge (on top of the $7 you pay to have your "free" box shipped to you) was listed in their FAQ section. I’m currently seeking a refund.

Terrible and dishonest company

I signed up for a subscription in November via a promotion which allowed me to receive my first box for free and pay for shipping. Once I received my first box, I was highly disappointed with the quality of the products. The packaging for each product was cheap, the quality of the products themselves were very poor. The products look like they came from a Claire’s, not a company attempting to provide reputable beauty products to consumers. I then attempted to cancel my subscription, which can only be done by emailing the company. They do not have a customer service number, mind you. After THREE WEEKS of back and forth communication and speaking with FIVE different employees from the company, not only could they not provide proof that their promotional policy required me to pay for the full price of the first box if I chose to cancel before receiving a second box, but they charged my card a second time WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. Furthermore, I had it in writing no less than FOUR TIMES that I DID NOT authorize a second charge and requested to cancel my subscription! I have never dealt with such poor customer service, dishonest, and a downright SLEAZY and SLIMY company! Save yourself the hassle and go to Ipsy, FabFitFun, or frankly ANY other beauty subscription company because this company is TERRIBLE. What a joke of a company! The creator(s) should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for their utter lack of professionalism.

Scam

I’ve spent 20 minutes total at different times just waiting for someone to answer the phone. Their customer service team is a mess. I’ve had three different people respond to me all with different information and nothing useful. Seems scripted. It’s been a month and I’ve still received nothing. Still absolutely annoyed that you get this "free" box and end up being forced to pay $40 total for a bunch of BS. Do not purchase!

Such a scam, seriously, SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I received my first BabeBox and it was so pitiful. Two of the five items that I was supposed to receive weren’t in it! Ok, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, mistakes happen all the time right? Well, unfortunately, yes, but finding someone that cared that I paid for a surprise box of five items and only received three proved impossible. I emailed the company and got the generic response about how they care and someone would get back to me. No one ever got back to me until I attempted to cancel the subscription. Even then they would argue about my canceling but not one person ever addressed my problem and reason for wanting to cancel. I finally got the darn thing canceled after numerous emails, many headaches, and much runaround. If these people would have put even half of the effort into doing a quality check on their boxes before they shipped this all could have been avoided and I’d probably still be wasting my money monthly! But no. I ended up having to pay for another box and had to cancel my credit card before this stopped! Save your money and save yourself a lot of headache...do not subscribe!

This company with their Babe Box is a complete SCAM. They are shady in their practices and false advertising.

I got the ad on Insta to try the box by paying the shipping only with the first box free. I went to the website where another pop-up displayed this FREE first box ad. No exclusions listed, no explanations, just pay for shipping and get your box free, cancel anytime. Well, that’s a LIE.

After I got my first box, I was underwhelmed. It came with three items of which I’d only use one of them. The packaging was destroyed, and the insert indicated it was missing items. Now if it’s just a first box trial, okay, that’s fine, but they claimed this was to be a full box. Still, for $5.99 shipping, I couldn’t be mad. WELL, THEY MADE ME MAD.

So I emailed asking to cancel as the first box didn’t wow me, and for the price, Ipsy does better. They then told me that I should wait to cancel after my second box because they were going to charge me for the first box anyway...

Excuse me?

I said no. That is fraud and I do not authorize that. Then they tried to show me in check out where it says "what is this?" Next to the shipping charge is hyperlinked to a little text box that pops up saying "you may get charged full price if you cancel."

IN A WHAT IS THIS LINK. How incredibly shady! It was not plain for everyone to see. It was not asterisked next to the word FREE, it was incredibly hard to find because if you go to "what if I want to cancel." they just say cancel anytime! Just email us.

This is a garbage company. They are not honest to their customers and they’re out to steal your money. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. In every subscription box group I’m in, I will constantly advocate AGAINST this subscription box.

Worst attitude towards customers

I’ve got too carried away with their special offer of a free first box and ordered it. Only after that I decided to read some reviews and was terrified so I wrote to them asking to cancel my order the same day I made it. They replied to me with a 15% discount instead of cancellation. I wrote once more that I don’t need it and want a full refund. It was 11 days ago and they haven’t replied to me since. I wrote a couple more emails but they completely ignore me. The order wasn’t even sent. I have never seen such a bad attitude towards customers. And I’m telling everyone I know this company is unreliable and they should never order anything there. If you’re looking for reviews in order to know if it’s safe to shop there, don’t, they don’t care about their costumers and try to fool them!

The lip gloss is the worst, the metallic lip gloss is awful. Pretty colors but it makes your lips dry and it crumples up within minutes. It is worse than the 99-cent lipstick.

Ordering and delivering

I ordered the eyelash extensions on August 5th, 2017 and paid in full. The amount appeared on my Visa almost immediately. I contacted the company through email the week of August 20th and heard back that they were on back order. Regular emails promoting the side and these lashes were coming through, with no mention of a delay. I was surprised for the continuing promotion of this product given mine had not arrived, and they were on back order.

In early September, I contacted the company again and received an email stating that they were shipped. Well, it is September 24th, and I still have no lashes. I am watching the tracking but it is not moving very fast.

I ordered from another US company and received it at my door in 5 days. I am still waiting for the set I paid in full for from Focallure! I would not recommend ordering from there.

Definitely not what I thought it'll be.

I saw a YouTube video about the lipstick. I thought, oh that looks nice, easy to use and totally untouchable. I was wrong. It's easy to use sure, but it's definitely not untouchable or smudge-proof. And it definitely does not last more than an hour or so.

Disappointed

I am a little disappointed to find out that my order was out of stock. I believe true customer satisfaction stems from contacting the customer ASAP when problems arise. I was not notified. I didn't find out until I reached out to find out the status of my order. It has been almost one month and I still have yet to receive my product!

Liquid lipstick/matte lipstick

They are pretty colors, they go on very well, but the bad thing about these products is they are a little sticky. The matte lipstick is amazing; goes on smooth and it stays on for a long time.
