Timely deliveries

I get billed for Scentbird the first week of the month and then I don't see it until the end of the month. Why does it take so long? I am unsure if I will continue the service. The choices are mostly floral, which I don't like, or the description says "woodsy," and it's floral. I am getting dissatisfied.

Scentbird review

I have been receiving Scentbird for over a year now and I have only received 3 scents I actually have used! I contacted the company but nothing was done. I am hoping things can get worked out or I will have to cancel.

It's great for trying new scents before buying a big bottle

I really like the scents that I picked. They also recommend scents according to your profile, and I feel that they did a good job with that. However, the container made my perfume leak. In two months the container broke, and it wasted my scent. I was unable to contact Scentbird. I did email them but never got a reply back.

I love the fragrance that I receive, but I would like to be able to get some brand name fragrance without upgrading, like Chanel Lancome, etc. But overall I am pleased. It looks like the fragrances get better and better with each order.

The first scent was perfect, the rest are horrible.

The first scent had the perfect vanilla coconut scent I was hoping for. All the others were WAY OFF. Pine Musky. Yuck. I asked for fresh light sweet, NOT FLORAL. The second scent I got was super floral smelled like an old lady. The third scent I received I sprayed once and threw away. I think it was for a man?

Love the idea, but the customer service is non existent.

I keep Scentbird because they have an awesome list of designer perfumes, and the price isn't bad. I love looking through the perfumes and adding them to my queue. My three-star rating is because I've contacted Scentbird at least three times asking questions and nobody ever got back to me! This was well over two months ago, so I know they aren't going to respond.

Like it, but SO very slow

I enjoy the service and the products quite a bit, but the process from payment to package delivery is VERY, VERY slow. Seems to take about six weeks for delivery after payment. So payment for two months can be paid, and I am still waiting for product. Other than speed, it is fun and I love the handy size.

I'm not sure it's for me

It really wasn't what I expected. I have shared my fragrance with my family and friends. I really wanted their opinions and was also curious if they thought it was a waste of my money and if they would join. I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time with it.

Canceled my subscription

I wanted to try out this subscription. I was promised a free perfume, the free perfume was still being "process" when I canceled on the 28th because I did not want to be billed for next month. This is why I canceled. Now because I canceled (never mention that my "processing" order would be canceled, if I canceled my subscription), it deleted my "processing" order, which is crazy. How are you going to cancel a "processing" order that should have been submitting still til 5th of the month? I don't recommend this website, there is no phone number to contact someone, there are just emails.

Pretty cool so far

I really like having Scentbird, although I wish the samples were a little bit bigger and last longer. I love all the scents they have...it would be cool if they had Bond #9...a lot of rappers like 2Chainz rap about it and yes, it is expensive, but it would be cool if us regular people could check it out. Also, I didn’t receive my January scent. I still like Scentbird and will continue to use it for now.

Not happy

I joined Scentbird because I thought they will offer or customize colognes or perfumes that will be tailored to my personality. But, after joining and going through the questionnaires, I started to receive scents that smell really bad, and I would never try or wear. There was a couple I really liked, but many that were just a waste of money, and ended up in the trash. Some my wife said she will throw me out of the house if I ever put them on. Unfortunately, Scentbird doesn't really stand behind their offers and recommendations, and you end up wasting more money trying colognes you are not familiar with, and end up throwing away.

Empty bottle

It has been pretty neat actually, and I have found several new fragrances that I enjoy. However, one of the more expensive ones that I was really looking forward to came to me with only 2 squirts in it and that was a bummer when I discovered how much I enjoyed the scent...other than that, it's been great!

Just OK

I do like getting only a month's worth of fragrances at a time so I don’t get sick of the same, or get stuck with an expensive bottle I do not love. It’s a clever idea! I do not think they offer a good enough discount when you combine more. And I think it’s a total rip off to have to pay for the case the little vile fits in, especially since they charge you almost the same amount for it as they do the perfume itself! I don’t feel the personal touch, the genuine customer service from this company. I feel like a number on a profit report.

They're okay...

Their selection is pretty nice, and I can appreciate their mixture of high-brow brands and their own brands or those that are newcomers. Their Confessions of a Rebel collab is AMAZING.

But their scent profiling system sucks, their shipping is atrociously slow, and to be honest, I was hoping for a bit more of a surprise element to what you get every month, or at least have the decision made for me (similar to what Ipsy does). The whole point of me getting Scentbird was because I have no idea what to wear, and worry about dropping a ton of money on a small bottle of something that's horrible with my body chemistry. Also, as much as I love learning about top notes and other perfume jargon, I don't feel like the same can be said about reviewers. Most of them cannot be deciphered as to what the original product is like. Shopping online means one usually spends a lot of time researching reviews. But when you're only met with "OMG YESSSS this sent slayyyys it's my favrit ?????✌️", or "smells bad hated it can't return one star" as your benchmarks for good and bad, how is one supposed to make any kind of educated guess on whether they'd like it or not? Finding other sites with more in-depth reviews for each scent is a pain because it's now extra work. But I'd prefer having no reviews on Scentbird to this current setup any day. Perhaps a bit of a guided review style would be more ideal, to coerce them into discussing specific details? "What high notes did you detect?" "Would you consider this to be a flirty fragrance?" etc.

Also, mixing it up by adding skincare and other non-perfume items is a fabulous idea! But would it be possible to have less repeats in your queue? There's a section of time in 2021 where I'm supposedly going to receive the same eyeliner two months in a row unless I change it myself. Repeats in the queue should be few and far between, to encourage full bottle sales of hit scents, as well as keeping variety open for consumers who only receive 12 vials a year.

The delays are excessive but worth the wait

The delays are longer than I think should be. I have several subscription boxes. I have one that I trade in items and get others sent. I can trade-in and get new twice, once 3 times before Scentbird sends mine. Which it wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for that I can never get ahold of anyone to correct my orders. I’ve had 2 incidents that I wish Scentbird would correct but this is a newly started brand. I understand Rome wasn’t built in a night so neither can a great company. I believe Scentbird will grow and prosper into a long-lasting great company!

Obviously I do love the products because I stay and I order 2 scents at a time.

Hopefully they get things in working order because it is a good idea!

Mediocre service

It has been a nice experience, sometimes it's frustrating because it takes so long for my sample to arrive in the mail and it does not smell how I wanted. Or they said what I want isn't available anymore so I may be canceling my subscription soon.

Wrong cologne/perfume

Experience has been good so far

I have been a member for well over a year now, it's kind of a "set it and forget it" kind of thing for me, and every month I get surprised with a new cologne in the mail. The reason is I set up a queue of colognes I want to try. I added over 16 colognes at the very beginning. This gave me over a year of monthly samples without having to do anything else.

Other than that, the only time I have logged in is when I get an email that a cologne I wanted was out of stock and I needed to choose an alternative. Which brings me to the reason I withheld a star. It happens too often.

Wonderful subscription service

The one and only issue I have is I think the perfume review format could be better. Maybe more options for the feeling the scent gives you and being able to check multiple options for one category. But the customer service is great, the idea is genius, and I don't know if I'll ever stop using it. I've tried many scents over the past couple of years, and I have only not enjoyed maybe 3 of them. The reviews and the note descriptions are super helpful in choosing a scent.

Pretty good!

So far the fragrances I have received have been great! One time I received a broken sample, but these guys were great and replaced it! Another time I didn’t receive my monthly subscription at all, but I think that was due to the fact that their software didn’t update my change of address. The shopping timing could be fine-tuned as it usually takes nearly two weeks for me to get my cologne, but other than that, good job!

Fragrance

I’ve been with Scentbird for 5 or 6 months. It was bumpy at the beginning, maybe user error, or not understanding the process. Customer service responded, and after 2 or 3 emails, all was back on track. With that said, I’m impressed that customer service responded and a resolution came to pass. I’ve been with other sites that take weeks just to respond, so kudos to Scentbird.

As far as the fragrances, l haven’t had one that l didn’t like. I usually go with “fragrance of the month” in order to sample something I normally would not pick. I’m highly satisfied with the price and purchases.

Staying power

All the scents so far are beautiful, but they don't last, and there's not much throw. Otherwise, I'm in love. You don't throw the cat out with the dishwater. I would recommend this product.

Pretty good, could stand for some improvements

My first and biggest complaint is with the inconsistencies involving the shipping. It is really frustrating to get my scent by the middle of the month some times, and on the last day of the month other times. I understand there is time involved with fulfilling orders, however, I find it hard to believe it takes three weeks to process everything when my payment is taken immediately on the 5th of every month.

My second complaint, the variety is not good. I have a few items left in my queue, but to be honest, I don't know how much I really want them, and I have been considering canceling. I don't want lotions, and I really think that was a waste of time and a big annoyance based on the fact that more variety in fragrances would make more sense, seeing that this company is called Scentbird, not "Lotionbird."

My bottles do not always come full, and sometimes they have leaked. The amount of time it takes to send out the products would make me believe that there should be better quality control in the products being sent out.

I would like to see more Tom Ford options; I think more niche brands would be good as well.

I am marking that I would not recommend this to a friend, however, I think with some improvements I would. This could be a really great service, however, there are many issues that have me questioning if I want to continue. For now, there are at least a few more items that I want to try. My hope is that there is more, quality, and fragrances added in the near future.

Almost perfect

Perfumes were always amazing. The only problem I ever had was with cases; they always seem to fall apart. Other than that, I would have left five stars. Great subscription to have. So many selections. And I love having the option to switch anytime I wanted.

Smells good

I still haven’t found my “signature” fragrance, but this one smells good. A warm, romantic smell. As it wears, I find myself wondering, "who smells so good," and then realize it’s ME!
