Love this service!

As a lover of beautiful fragrances, it can get expensive to collect scents only to find out that it might not be a scent you love. Scentbird has allowed me to "test drive" fragrances each month to really get a sense of how the scent works in any situation.

The sample size is very generous and lasts 30 days. The included atomizer is sturdy and has lasted for months in my purse! I really, REALLY love Scentbird and tell everyone about it.

Great invention

Being an admitted fragrance junkie, my discovery of Scentbird was life changing! The selection is phenomenal, as are the fragrance suggestions! The ease of dropping what I want into my queue and having it show up in my mailbox every month is game changing! No more going to the big box stores, who all have the same fragrances, and being bombarded, or even worse ignored, to having my nose so full of scents I can't tell one from the next! I love Scentbird. Thank you for just being you!

The best subscription service!

Many scents for all the moods

I love Scentbird

I love getting the chance to try expensive perfumes without having to buy the whole bottle all the time. Some perfumes that I would assume smelled great are my least favorite, and I haven't had to waste any money! On the other hand, I have found new fragrances that I adore! Thank you so much! Wonderful subscription service

The one and only issue I have is I think the perfume review format could be better. Maybe more options for the feeling the scent gives you and being able to check multiple options for one category. But the customer service is great, the idea is genius, and I don't know if I'll ever stop using it. I've tried many scents over the past couple of years, and I have only not enjoyed maybe 3 of them. The reviews and the note descriptions are super helpful in choosing a scent.

At a small cost of $14.99 a month, I get to test a cologne of my choice. I'm just as excited now as I was the first month I subscribed in 2016 to get my new fragrance. You pick your choice of cologne each month, and it's delivered to your door. You can even purchase additional fragrances if you run out.

Rip off and thieves!

I was charged three times in four months (September/October/November/December), and at the time of first emailing Scentbird, I had not received even one of the perfumes and requested a refund because I was so angry. I was denied a refund (was told it was their policy no refunds)! So it's January 6th, 2018, and the problem is they STILL owe me for one perfume! I have sent now many emails requesting my perfume (or a refund) to their Head of Customer Support, Head of Customer Retention, Co-Founder, and others and NONE of the customer reps, fairies or Co-Founder has even bothered to respond or even assist me with my issue to send my product!

First, they keep charging my card (three times) without even me receiving a single item (worst shipping process ever for a .27oz spray). Now they aren't even responding to what is owed to me?

I am LIVID! Scentbird are THIEVES and RIPOFFS! Never had such a bad experience with any other online company. At least give me back the lousy $15, or do you do this to all your customers to keep your terrible company afloat?

Please think twice if you plan on ordering anything from Scentbird!

You WILL be very disappointed with their service and hopefull you will not fall victim to being ripped off by not receiving or being assisted in getting an item you paid for!

Hi Kimberly, I am so sorry about this! Unfortunately, since you live in Hawaii, your shipping times are significantly longer than most. Fragrances are considered a hazardous material because they are flammable, so we are unable to ship via air freight. Unfortunately, shipments to Hawaii are sent via sea freight which is what creates the long gap in transit.

Software driven product with faulty software

The idea is great; get a subscription for a friend and send them the link to register. Upon registering there is no indication of a subscription or record of friend's purchase. It is hard to trust their validity when the software can't recognize emails and associate them with purchased products.

I would not recommend until they get a few things ironed out. Looks like the delivery time will be poor so I'd like to order ASAP if I have to wait months to receive anything.

The website is nice, and I saw a number of perfumes I'd like to try, while a lot are still missing.

Don't do it!

Horrible company to try and do business with. I signed up and then saw that this would be more expensive than first thought. I tried to cancel the same day only for them to drag their heels and charge me. They say they don’t take refunds. I disputed the charges with AMEX, so we will see what happens.

Don't do business with this unethical company! Those who will not honor a cancelation requestion before the first shipment has gone out is no one you want to do business with.

Awesome service

I'm a type of guy who was wearing the same cologne for ages. And when I run out of it, I just bought the same. So I wasn't a cologne guy, BUT, my friend gifted me Scentbird subscription and I was amazed how cool it could be. Every month I choose a new cologne and receive a 0.27oz supply. They come with a metal case, so I carry around my cologne wherever I go. It's super convenient for a gym and for Friday's getaways.

Big fan of Scentbird.

I was not impressed

I was not impressed. I was so excited to get my order and what I got was a used empty container. The case was old and peeling on the sides, and seriously, it was empty. I would not recommend this to any of my friends. I don’t know if this was a one-time thing, but I am not happy that I paid $8.00 for nothing. I am canceling my subscription.

Once you sign up, good luck cancelling

The first two months that I was a member, I received the same scent from my queue. That would have been fine since it is a scent I own a travel size of that I bought from Sephora and love, but what I received was definitely NOT the same scent and smelled horrible. The next two scents I received were fine, but after the third month, I had canceled my subscription...or so I thought.

I went through all the proper steps, including reporting why I was cancelling, and did all this well before the next cycle began, but I was still sent and billed for the next month's scent. When I contacted customer service about it, I was told they could go ahead and cancel for me, but they needed to know why I wanted to cancel before they could do so. Fine. I emailed them back.

Several days later, I get another email from them that just gives me the directions for how to cancel. I already did that once with no luck. I will try again and see what happens, but I feel like this is going to be a vicious cycle.

Not happy

I started Scentbird in September and got my first bottle in October. I paid again in October and November and December. They sent me one more bottle in December, and refuse to send me my November bottle. I have tried to resolve this and there is no phone number for them because then they would actually have to take care of a customer. Buyer beware, and I would just go with ScentBox. Cheaper, more selection, and they have a phone number to call if there is a problem.

High hopes squashed

I came into the experience with high hopes. Who wouldn't want designer fragrances that cost hundreds of dollars for mere pennies practically?

I signed up in October and got my first scent, Mon Guerlain the first week in November. Ok, very slow on shipping. They bill my bank account on the 10th and then don't ship out until almost a month later? November's scent was Burberry Brit. Same thing. They billed on the 20th of November this time, and it just now, on December 6th, that it arrived.

I got a message from them saying my card was declined. For what? They already billed me and sent the fragrance. I replied back and told them what was going on. There reply back was to ask for my address to see what the issue was. The issue isn't with my address. It's with their delivery and payment set up.

I was willing to give them a chance. I mean mistakes happen, but after reading the reviews of people having similar issues, I canceled.

It looks like you first subscribed with Scentbird on October 19th, and your first shipment was delivered to the reception desk on October 28th. Our shipping time frame is within 5-10 business days so this is well within our normal range. Your second shipment in November was sent during our second shipping window, which is at the end of the month late in the month because payment was received late (November 9th).

It looks like when we had tried to collect payment on November 5th but your card was declined. Your November shipment was shipped November 29th and delivered December 6th, which is within the regular time frame. It seems there may have been some confusion in our billing schedules. Another pathetic experience

I wish I would have done some research before purchasing. It's been a couple of months since I placed my first order and I STILL haven't received a product. Customer service responded reasonably fast to my complaint, but the bottom line is, I still don't have a product.

Their website is filled with bugs, and they constantly spam you to upgrade your account or buy more products. I understand trying to up-sell a customer, but when I say "no" and dismiss the popups, it should be respected.

The product selection is limited. There isn't anything very exciting once you see what they have.

Skip this company and don't make the mistake I made.

Worst company

I was billed for November 2017 and the item never arrived.

They refuse to give me back my money and gave me the runaround with canceling my subscription. I finally found a way to cancel on my own. I disputed the charges with my bank and I still never received the item.

Run away. Run very far away. They are literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. I also filed a complaint with the BBB and so should everyone else who had issues with them.

Shady business practices and awful customer service.

Scentbird is officially one of the shadiest companies I have ever (inadvertently) done business with.

First of all, they do not allow you to review their full inventory until you enter your payment information into their system. I did just that and was immediately disappointed with their sub-par fragrance offerings. I then noticed that they charged me for a subscription that I did not sign up for.

No problem, I will just not put any products into my queue and cancel my account to get a refund. I check their FAQ, and they include a link to their account page where you can supposedly cancel. The problem is, there was NO way to cancel in the account page.

I immediately emailed them and asked them to cancel my account and issue me a refund since the box hadn't shipped out. I got an email in return the next day that gave the same instructions listed in their FAQ "Click the cancel my subscription link on your account page." AGAIN, this link does not exist on their account page. I responded with screenshots proving that the link did not exist, and was super confused when I got an email saying my first box had shipped. Again, I never put a product in my queue, so there shouldn't have been anything to ship. I suspect they did this to avoid having to give me a refund.

It has now been 10 days since this all started, and they still haven't canceled my account, and I haven't received the box they supposedly shipped. I just filed a chargeback with PayPal and am hoping they give me my money back.

Long story short, forget Scentbird. Don't give them your money.

Don't fall for this

They give you the run around to cancel a subscription. The perfume options are brands I have never heard of.

You don't get the option of speaking with a human as the only means of communication is email.

I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If you've been duped by Scentbird, you should too.

Worst company EVER!

I have been/was with Scentbird for merely two months and yet experienced numerous issues with this company. The first month, I was charged three times and contacted their customer care only to get a measly reply of “we are sorry, we will request a refund and submit it to management for processing." Mind you, Scentbird doesn’t have a phone number or support via chat. So you are left with emails back and forth and waiting days for a reply, if you get one at all.

I did finally get a refund, but not a full refund on what they owe me though. The second month I failed to get my shipment and continued to contact customer support 7 times with no response for over a week!

They don’t care about their customers nor do they resolve issues promptly or efficiently. This company needs to be shut down immediately! I reported them to the BBB and canceled my account, but still feel ripped off as I’ve lost money in trying this company that seems like it has a good idea, but needs to be seriously renovated.

Paid and didn’t receive merchandise.

In the month of September, I was billed the $14.95 for my purchase however due to the hurricanes I received an email stating that there would be a delay. After about a month I contacted the agency regarding not receiving merchandise and I was told that I would have to pay five dollars in order to get the merchandised resent. I was not offered a refund due to company policy. Very frustrating, specially considering it was not of my own doing. I will never use their service again.

Please understand that we have implemented a 30-day policy in which orders can be replaced if they are not received and/or damaged. Took 30 days to receive my cologne after is was shipped.

Well, I was supposed to receive 50% off my next month bill, which never happened. It's no big deal since it's only 16 bucks, but just funny because that 50% off was a service recovery for another mistake these guys made with me receiving my product 30 days late. Also, instead of sending me the tracking number like requested more than once, they wait until the day my package came in the mail and send me a survey. Shaking my head; time to check out.
